New to the brand - Advice please
I'm looking to get into the AP brand after going down the rabbit hole with Rolex I fancy a change. I contacted a few AD's looking for a 15450st or 15500 but obviously I was told the usual story, previous purchase history etc.
Then I mentioned I'd be open to getting into a Royal Oak Offshore and surprisingly one particular AD has some what I think pretty nice stock, but I am asking myself as to why he has these in stock? Are they unpopular models? Are they "dogs"? He has offered me a 24680TI which I think is stunning and I'm suprised it's available, especially considering its an AD in London. My question is, how readily available are the ROO's? Have I got lucky or is this fairly normal to find this sort of model readily available? |

Always hard to say for ROO since so many different models, but for 24680TI I think you ran into a Covid anomalie. Not easy to find that one as a walk in IMHO from shops I’ve seen in Asia/US/Europe.

Focus on size first. So basically you are debating between 42, 43, 44 as a simple 3 option decision.
I'd recommend forgetting about value. This are super liquid (esp ROO since preference is hard to nail down with so many variations)...these are not Daytonas. You should assume a huge hit if you change your mind, so all to say, make sure you LOVE the design. I'd also recommend checking out the new 43mm over any of the previous gen models. |

OP the Offshore you’ve been offered is a stunning watch. If you’re starting from scratch it’s worth starting a relationship with AP House in London as the experience will be in a completely different stratosphere to anything you’ve experienced at Rolex.

I can imagine so, i may give them a ring in the morning and see what they've got. The particular watch is from Watches Of Switzerland, i can imagine dealing with AP house is on a whole other level. |
