anyone consider a sedna gold speedy over gray daytona price

For those looking at daytona SS, did you even consider a gold speedy in the new sedna gold with strap? Anyone? Or maybe crickets... I am only concerned about the individuals considering gray market prices for ceramic daytona

If I had that kind of money to spend on a watch PM all the way, although a white gold watch would be preferable.

Sedna gold Speedmaster

I just ordered one. Was told before end of year. Beautiful watch and not $35000 for a SS Daytona.

No, but I'd consider PM Daytona over SS Gray.

So I’m not a candidate for any of these… but on principle, I set the upper limit for any stainless watch at the functionally equivalent PP or AP @ MSRP. And that’s an absolute threshold.

This, of course, applies to modern watches I’d wear, not historic collectibles.

I guess the question ultimately is this: if you were choosing between 30k+ for a SS daytona, or the same amount for a PM Speedy, which of the two would you pick?

Maybe the smarter answer is to spend 7k for a SS speedy and invest 25-30k in the S&P, but thats a whole different question.

Or, on the flip side: If the Daytona traded at MSRP, but someone offered you a gold Speedy for $13k, what would you do?
