88 and 90 both manual wind?

Are both the 88 and 90 both manual wind? I do not want to manually wind the watch every second day. I am on a waiting list for the 88 but the 90 has come up and I like both.

Thanks

Both are automatic movements. Two very different looks.

Also check out the 8-day movements PAM has to offer. Some of them are exquisite and they are of the historic Panerai pedigree. I only wind mine, well, every 8-days and enjoy every second of doing it.

Even autos needs winding once a while! Right? Winding an auto is real PITA compared to manual!

Same here never manually wound any off my auto's, however the + on a manual wind is that you can assure it keeps running without wearing it and note the thing stopped again ...

So you guys wave your arms that much?

Anyway, once owned an auto, I'd wind once a week or thereabouts to keep PR fully wound. Go figure...It was PITA to wind it.

I have a 297 (which is essentially the 88 on a new-model steel bracelet) and I LOVE IT. I like it more than the 90 (or 171) because of the larger, cut-out hands; they just have a little more flair and character...

I also have a 177 (manual wind) and to be honest it is on the bay' right now because I wore it 7 or 8 times and got sick of having to wind it.

To each their own. Some people LOVE manual winds. Just not me ;)

I, too debated over the 88 and 90 (or 161/171/297...all similar models but w/ bracelets) and in the end, the GMT function won me over. To me, WAY more useful than a Power Reserve :)

Good Luck and enjoy whichever you are lucky enough to snag!
