Why is GREEN popular in every Rolex except for the new OP41?
The popularity of green dials have exploded in the Rolex lineup save for the new OP41. Just wondering what others think of the OP green dial? Is it not as vibrant as the green on the Hulk? DD40 olive? or the PM Daytona green dial?

It is popular
Not as much as the turquoise or coral, but it is definitely sought after. |

I do not care for any of the colors of the new OP, not even the black, blue, or silver...but if someone made me choose, green it is (preferably in 36mm).

Probably because Rolex has released a trunk load of green themed watches and wants to take the opportunity to showcase these other less used colors.
The tiffany style blue is only seen on platinum, while colors like orange and yellow have been used nowhere, since maybe the 80's. Green has enough publicity....the orange is my personal favorite, while green is my least only beating out black/wht/blue....not because the green isn't beautiful, it's equally stunning, but because I'd rather enjoy it on another Rolex reference. Try one if you like it, promise you it will go home with you. |

I was the first one to be allocateed a new 36 mm green op from my ad and he told
me I was very lucky because there are now many years wait time for this piece and they are not currently taking new people on their wait list. Personally I thought immediately after the launch in Sept that the green one is the one to buy. I think it is the most versatile one of the new stella dials. On certain lightconditions it looks very classy and subdued and sometimes it looks really colorful and playful. Plus I love the feeling that it is the quintessential Rolex in the rolex green. Small but powerful. |

I ordered it last year not even notice it's more or less popular than other colors. My AD told green/red/turquise are most popular at the moment and they stopped register for wishing list.

Simple answer hype afraid today many buy the hype to wear the hype in most all Rolex watches today. And before introduction of these so called new colour OP dials, the OP was quite poor sellers, much like these stella types dials were way back in the 1970s when introduced. But today the hype over the OP with things like calling dials Tiffany blue and the rest of the hype names hype and names sell watches today.

And I can't help feeling that more than a few people (certainly not all, but definitely some) will end up regretting choosing some of the louder colours when the hype dies down. I hope not for their sake, but I just don't think those colours are going to stand the test of time. I think a lot bought just because it's the latest "big thing". |

I like and have been considering either a green or blue OP41. I can't help but wonder how the green OP41 would be if the dial was sunburst.....

I find the shade of green too light in some conditions, but overall quite nice. I inquired about availability and was told it's difficult to find (although not as difficult as Turquoise and Candy Pink)

Regardless of color (I'd probably go with the blue over all colors), I'm just not a fan of the double markers on the 3/6/9. FWIW - I was an owner of the 41 Green. Nice watch, just not for me.

I think the turquoise and coral are more popular in the OP41 but Ive still seen plenty of people posting their green OP41. A nice looking watch but the other Rolex variants in green look alot better to me. I wouldnt turn on down at msrp though.

I remember when green was not popular and that was only 4-5 years ago so it’s certainly a color trend. Make sure the color really fits your style and lifestyle as it can grow old very quickly.

That being said, I have yet to see it in person but the silver and green are probably the only OPs I would go for. |
