Finally got my 116519LN. It is honestly one of the most beautiful if not the most beautiful watch I have ever seen irl. The dial is simply stunning.

By the way, any tips on how to care for the WG clasp and case? It’s my first PM piece and I don’t want to have it scratched too bad.

Lovely reference!

Regarding your question on superficial scratches, don’t wipe your watch with your shirt. Avoid any temptations to clean smudges unless you have soap and you’re doing a proper cleaning. If you wipe a dirty watch you will mar the surface with the contaminants already on it.

For me on all my gold and SS watches, I rinse the watch under water then spray liberally with Wristclean solution and wipe with my bare fingers. Afterwards, I thoroughly rinse and then dry with their drying towel.

Beautiful piece, one of my favourite Daytona’s. In addition to the above comment, remember to wear your watch only after putting on your shirt.

Absolutely amazing -/ this thing is so under-rated

Admittedly I was one of the ones a couple years ago who felt “meh” bout this watch … fast forward to now, I just can’t believe I ever felt that way

Congrats …. I recommend www.perpetualdetail.com trust me TRUST ME.. go there, but the kit or at the very least the cloth/detailer combo … the cloth is the perfect microfiber designed specifically for Rolex .. I use this cloth and spray detailer on all my Rolex (gold and stainless) and couldn’t be happier … trust me, buy it.. it’s exactly what you’re looking for

I’ve been using WristClean’s products. But sounds interesting. I will look into it. Thank you.

And thank you for the congrats guys. I’ll be enjoying the watch.

Nice watch! Congrats. I want to try out an oysterflex bracelet, is it more comfortable than your oyster steel bracelets at first impression?

Ps literal LOL at some of these comments on upkeep. Just enjoy your watch man!

Soap & Warm water. THAT is all you need. LOL

The only problem with the OF is that once its wet I find it wiping it with the cloth its not as effective as blow drying the rubber.

On metal bracelet soap + warm water + microfibre cloth. Thats it

My AD told me that Rolex are developing in house cotton fields to produce their own cleaning cloths...but you have to spend a few hundred on the AD's other cleaning products to be considered

Funny you say that, because my AD told me that the cotton is watered using only the tears from Swiss mountain goats, making it suitable for use only on precious metal Rolex wristwatches

That’ll bump the price up. It’s really, really difficult to make a goat cry, especially mountain goats, they’re hard as nails!

Thank you man. I do feel the oyster bracelet is more comfortable. The flaps on the oysterflex somehow is a little bit itchy.

Actually bought it grey from DavidSW. Tried getting it from AD but wasn’t lucky enough to be considered for this watch.

My advice on scratches is learn to roll with them. You cause yourself a lot of stress if you can’t.
