Dormant Rolex and golf

Hi
I have 2 questions
1. Is it safe to play golf with a Rolex or will the swinging/jarring cause damage to the movement
2. A lot of people are buying Rolex watches as a form of investment. If you leave a watch unworn will it have any detrimental effect if left unused for 1 or 2 years?
Noted a watch winder is an option but I’ve heard some bad reports about them. Does the oil dry up if left as I am thinking to get optimum performance it should be worn to self lubricate

I left my on when on the range or when I practice sometime, but I can’t wear it and play 18 holes with a watch on. I know a guy who does and his watch is running fine.

I don't wear a watch when playing not because of fear it may damage the movement. Simply not comfortable swinging with a watch on my wrist.

Absolutely! A lot of golfers wear rolexes while playing I think Phil Mickelson does or at least did for as long as I watched him.

I like to tighten it up a little more so it doesn’t move around when I’m swinging

You’re fine. I don’t play with mine cause it bugs me.

Only super high vibrations from a motorcycle or something like that will affect the timekeeping (over time).

I’d wind it up one a month to keep the lubricants loose and distributed.
