Advice on a particular 16710 Sydney AU
Firstly, I f I haven't posted in the correct place, my apologies and will re-post on your instruction.
I have been looking for a 16710 Coke for a little while, I received some great general advice here already, thank you! I'm in Sydney Aus and it seems my options are limited, I have been looking on Chrono24 and the thought of purchasing from overseas scares me! There is one available here in Sydney and I'd like to beg your thoughts/advice? It is also listed outside of Chrono24 by the dealer directly. Whilst not having box or papers doesn't necessarily bother me.... it's still a bit of a concern. How can I get providence? History? It seems I cannot post a link to the item, but it can be seen quite easily on lxtimepiece Thanks so much for assistance yet again, I promise we'll get an 'Incoming' soon! |

G'day mate, hope that you're coping OK with the Sydney lockdown, I think most people are over it already.
I'm not familiar with Lxtimepiece, but if the seller is reliable, I wouldn't worry about the watch being a fake. Any reputable grey market dealer worth their salt wouldn't be caught dead with a fake or stolen watch. If you're worried about it, you could always ask for it to be sent to a third party watchmaker for verification (Max Schweizer is still open at the moment), although I'm not sure how that would be received by the seller. PS. 16710 is a nice watch, and I think undervalued relative to the earlier vintage GMTs and the later ceramics. |

Definitely over lockdown! How we could go backwards so quickly is beyond belief, anyway that's a whole other topic!
Appreciate your comments, it's difficult to know what to expect and what 'guarantees' are out there in terms of getting what you think you're paying for. I guess I'll have a chat to the seller and see how it feels. I really like the 16710 They're looking a 18.5k for a '99 model in this case. |

I bought my TT DJ 41 from them. Super happy experience! Steven was a pleasure to deal with.

I think I found that GMT on their website (the 1999 model?) and the watch looks good to me.
Not over polished but I don’t think the the brushed finish was done by a RSC. I’m still trying to come to terms with the current prices for these models. Sorry to read about your ongoing situation. I am expecting it here in SA in the not too distant future.

I hope you can avoid the worst of the plague down there, at least until there's a satisfactory rollout result, but I think it's inevitable that we'll be 'living with it' before too long. |
