Faith rewarded by AD…twice

Sharing this to encourage others to keep the faith.

In late May, I mentioned to my local dealer that I wanted a polar EXP2 and an SD43. He told me he would reach out to his sister store and have them “put me on the list.” (Sister store is the actual AD)

Both stores are in well-heeled CT towns and have many clients that spend 6-7 figures a year with them. Basically, I’m a speck. Maybe I’ve spent $50k with them over the past four to five years. Further, I had never spent a cent at the sister store. My expectations were pretty low.

The EXP2 came in 7 weeks afterwards and I just got the call that the SD43 is in…12 weeks afterwards.

I recognize these are not the hottest models, but this should give hope to those on lists. Keep the faith.

No offense but if the stores are related and you spent 50K over 4 years, thats not exactly chump change.

No it certainly isn’t. My point was that given their clientele I’m by no means a big customer.

What's important is you got what you wanted regardless of whether the pieces are 'hot' or not (They're all hot right now minus ladies DJ or a Cellini). Enjoy the pieces and congrats!

You spent $50k and SD43 is not a particularly difficult piece to obtain from the AD. They barely sell for above retail on the grey market.

Congrats! Trying to keep the faith - almost 9 months now waiting on a SD43. My AD assures me he can get it. Waiting.....

I’m just curious how you spend a million a year at a Rolex ad.

Seriously? WTF? My point was simply that you need not be a great customer to get a fulfillment via an AD list.l I thought getting two in six months would give folks hope.

Unfortunately that’s highly dependent on the AD and SA. I’m just glad my SA is pretty nice to me, not Daytona nice, but nice :)

Both are great pieces and are gonna compliment each other well. Post photos of the two when you get the SD43.

I agree! On a few of the threads, there’s lots of negative responses to some really happy news.
I don’t get it, either.

So, congrats to the OP, and let’s hope this bodes for more “generous” times ahead at ALL the AD’s!!

Maybe $50K in 4 years isn’t chump change but apparently $45K in a month is…
