Anyone up for a Sydney GTG???

There is one in Melbourne shortly that a few guys from Sydney are going to so maybe we should plan for July/August.

Any takers and thoughts??

I'm in Sydney and have school holidays (as a teacher not a student!) coming up mid-July. Could possibly make it if we meet for drinks.

I live on the north shore and work in the City so naturally would prefer City, preferably on a Friday night. Other options close by are Corws Nest (good restaurants), North Sydney or Chatswood.

Shall we lock in a date? 17th and 24th are in school holidays.

Hi guys, I am moving to Wolloongong on 18th of July. Should be able to join you guys for a GTG after that. I have some experience in organizing Sunday Rides when I use to Live in Alice Springs ;o). This GTG is going to be no different. Perhaps we can aim for one every 2 months or something ( may be monthly).... What do you guys suggest?

Maybe we should keep clear of the holidays (had forgotten about them) so how about then the last Fri or Sat in July? What is the preference? Either day is good for me.

North is good for me too but how about we see who confirms then depending upon their locations we set a venue.

So any takers for the last F/S in July?

I'm with you Pete, Late July is fine.

My better half has put her foot down about going to catch up with Steve and James in Melb :-( was looking forward to that too, I'll be there on business soon anyway :-)

So we need to do a tally of who we have and availability :-)

I haven't either, at least not to eat, would you rather somewhere else?

There are plenty of restaurants there around King street wharf and on Cockle Bay both of which are on the city side of Darling Harbour.

Parking is easy and cost $18 for 2+ hours after 5 pm, a map here http://www.scec.com.au/location/parking.cfm, also plenty of parking stations in Sussex street which runs along the city side through Chinatown.

What do people fancy to eat? Mediterranean, steak, seafood etc?

OK so Darling Harbour and the 31st July seem to be the go.

One comment, the Sydney Boat show will be on also at that time so we will definitely need to book in good time as there will be a lot of people around the Darling Harbour area. Should be a good atmosphere.

Seafood has been suggested..how about http://www.nicks-seafood.com.au/nick...restaurant.htm, mains around $30-35. There are other places. Feel free to make a suggestion.

Bearing in mind the boat show we should try to at least have some sort of booking by the end of this week.

Currently we have 4 definite and 2 to confirm.

Michael - me
Denny?
Dave
Peter
Milan
Sani?

Any more???

Hi Sani,

Yes, I am pretty sure that everyone's thinking dinner. Time? Open to suggestions....how about 7.00 pm?

I'll count you as a definite then, that's great.
