Tudor BB Chrono a special order?
I visit San Diego in August and just this past weekend. Both times I visited a local jeweler who sells Tudor. Different locations of the jeweler for each visit. I assume it’s an AD but I didn’t ask specifically.
Both locations told me that the BB Chrono is a “special order” and yesterday, the lady told me that not only is it a special order but you have to pay first. This sounds sketchy as hell as I have not heard anything about the BB Chrono being a special order. The AD local to me wouldn’t even take a deposit and said I just have to wait for them to get more in stock. Has anyone else been told that the BB is a special order? |

I've bought subs, gmts, and a Daytona at my local rolex/tudor AD. I have also never seen a tudor chrono and I dont know if I will ever be getting one. They are still very much in demand around where i live.

Visited an AD over the weekend and purchased a GMT for myself and a BB58 Navy for the wife. They had both BB Chronos on display and available for purchase. Big side note, I am in Korea so I would say that availability is location based.

I would think Tudor and Rolex would have similar policy where you cannot special order hot models

I like both models in white and black dial. I have the Black dial and would like the white dial. My AD is waiting and has a list of customers who want either. I went to a watch event last week at my AD and the Tudor Rep was there. I had a interesting conversation with her and she gave me the same smug responses that I heard from the Rolex Rep before all this started with availability for Rolex. I told her that Tudor was not Rolex and if they start the same games I will be done with the brand. She gave me the impression that she could care less. Ok, we will see. Bad signs on the Tudor front.

Earlier this year I put a "deposit" down for the white chrono at a Ben Bridge. Essentially I prepaid for the entire watch. After a couple months I fortunately had a chance to try one on. Beautiful watch, but it was too thick for my tastes. Ended up canceling the order and got my money back.

Remember when the tudor gmt's were special? No Tudor is special, just wait a few months and you will have your pic. Don't worry

AD in LA wanted a 25% deposit for a 13 month waiting list here. WTF.

When I went to my Tudor AD, they had the BB-GMT, but only on the strap.......they told me I can put a down payment on it to hold the bracelet ref when it comes in......
I know the BB-Chronos are hot....maybe they were referring to a down payment, but I would not pay one in full....

In fact, it’s already started. Now is the time to buy the right Tudor at MSRP or get on line for one. |

I was able to get mine when to first came out. I got the first one my AD received. I do have quite a bit of a purchase history though.

High demand item, but low number of pieces going to the ADs. They have a list at my AD.

My AD had one on a strap available in the case when it was first released. I have not seen one since. Tudor popularity is growing and it’s only a matter of time before one of the releases keeps its momentum. Seems to be the case with the Black Ceramic
