My current 6 watch collection along with a little story I guess

All purchased brand new from AD.. (g-shock direct from website with their one watch rule lol.. just being silly)

anyway on a more serious note, I just wanted to show off some wrist pics of my collection- I love looking at everyone’s posts and I never post pics of my own so I figured why not !?

So I’ve got my collection at a spot right now that I’m very happy with .. I obviously want other watches probably some of the same ones we are all after right!?!? But, I know I am more than blessed to be able to have what I have (especially from AD because I’m the type of guy who just can’t have it any other way, so I’m very fortunate to have the relationship I have and I enjoy them all!!)

I mostly daily wear the Pepsi these days ..

All of these watches are super special to me in their own way, but I’ll like to make mention about the daydate40– I special ordered the DD40 in my dream configuration about a year ago or so to celebrate opening my business. A quick little backstory as to why that’s extra special to me— so back in 2005 when I was 16 years old, my dad passed away by a very unexpected, sudden, and tragic death. He took his own life. And not to overly get into all that, but to put it short he suffered from an ACUTE depression.. something he never struggled with before, and like I said just as unexpected and out of left field as you could ever imagine. It was a very sudden battle that he unfortunately lost. But as time went on years and years later I learned that even though he was very successful at being an oral surgeon, over time he lost his passion for that career and it didn’t make him truly happy.. so one thing I absolutely took from that tragedy, was that I knew I couldn’t wind up in a career that wasn’t fulfilling to me… —-so to get back on subject, The business is something I had on my mind to do ever since my senior year of high school, got a lot of ridicule from my guidance counselors (and several other adults involved in my life at the time) for not wanting to go to college .. well, I ended up going to college and wasted time and money .. I only went because I had a scholarship, once I lost that well let’s just say that was that! But yet, I also went to college because my then 18 year old self had absolutely no idea how to make my dream see it’s way to reality …I just knew someday somehow I would find my way..—- and as I was saying, because of what happened with my dad, I always knew I had to do something that I truly loved and made me happy, etc .. so, when I finally set out to open the business all these years later (it’s been a year now) I KNEW I had to order one of my Ultimate dream watches .. the solid yellow gold/champagne dial/romans DAYDATE40 .. I mean is there anything more BOSS than that! (Yes, I know there are many things more “boss” than it - but you get the point, it is one of my grails). .. so I realize that’s long winded story there but I figured some of you may enjoy !? So in short, my DD40 is extra special to me.

Ok so 2 more I need to make special mention of .. the Daytona is always a dream watch of mine, I had to claw and scratch at my AD forever for it .. he always told me my day would come .. he knows how much of a car guy I am so, being a total watch nut like all of you on here, as well as a big time car guy .. well.. yeah.. Daytona no brainer !!

Ok and as for my HULK…. Super special to me because my dad was a submariner guy, and my love for Rolex began wayyy back when I was a young kid as far back as I can recall .. watching the formula 1 races with my dad Saturday morning and seeing the ROLEX branding all over the different race circuits !! And then he’d take his sun off and let me hold it and wear it .. yep love !! I’ve been sold on Rolex ever since .. always dreamed of wearing Rolex, admittedly a total Rolex fanboy.. oh and one extremely cool thing about my HULK (I guess this is only cool to certain collecting mindsets but I just love this about mine… mine has the new style warranty card!!)

Ok everyone onto the pics !! I appreciate y’all reading about my collection .. it’s not to say that my OP41 turquoise and my GSHOCK aren’t equally beloved by me, because they are —- but I just wanted to make special mention of the others ..

Last point to make is, I’ve got my ADs constantly hearing from me about the oysterflex Daytona (yellow gold with “Paul Newman dial”) sheesh!! Must have !! Y’all keep your fingers crossed for me !!

Enjoy the wrist shots!

automotive and commercial window tinting - my idea was to build a very premium top level clean shop, and hire the best film installers to work for me.. simple as that may sound, no one around where I live has ever done it that way.. and it’s such a lucrative, consistent steady flowing business .. so I always just felt that if I build the way I’ve dreamed it up to be.. don’t cut any corners .. don’t settle for anything less than A+ level employees who take pride in their work, etc etc etc … that it’s going to be a success just like I know it’s capable of !! Think of it as the type of place where you can drop your high end car off at, and be at complete ease to know that the work will exceed your expectations and you can feel like your car is in great hands. Again, sounds simple I know .. but back all those years ago I noticed how (and asked around amongst high end car owners) everyone seemed to want to get this type of work done, but felt they didn’t have anywhere to go. So idea is make it so nice and do things right in every way to capture the high end clientele, while still maintaining a very welcoming environment for anyone else too .. no matter how expensive or inexpensive their vehicle may be .. as for the commercial tinting that’s obviously done on sight (relationships with all of the builders around this way are beneficial for those jobs)

PM me if you’re interested to see pics of my shop, I’ll be happy to email some to you .. I love showing it off super proud of it ! Lol .. aiming to open a second location in about a years time actually !!

My current 6 watch collection along with a little story I guess

Great story though I’m very sorry for your loss which led to the great place it ended up at.

Beautiful collection too. That DayDate looks very good on you. Six watches seems to be a good place to land, where everyone one of them still has a particular role and place. Here’s my 6 watches (though it’s more like 3 pairs):

I’m sorry to hear about your dad OP. Depression is an illness that doesn’t get enough attention and I’m sorry to hear that he succumbed to it.

You have a beautiful collection.

Nice collection.

Automotive tinting, cool. I see lots of cars where the window tint is almost black, you cannot see inside. I always thought that was illegal, but I guess not.

Wow! Well thanks for all the nice comments .. I sort of re-read the post this morning and thought to myself damn that’s too long no one wants to read that! However, seeing the replies I guess I was wrong.. I’m glad to receive the good feedback

Tinting laws are different all over the place .. but some countries and states do allow the very dark blacked out tint you’re referring to! Appreciate the compliment on the collection

Thanks mate, yes, me too, took me the better part of ten years to narrow it down to that and there are still some I want to add. Luckily, it’s relatively unlikely my AD will call me for either of the two “missing” ones anytime soon, so I’m pretty content as it is.

Thanks for sharing your story. Losing a parent to suicide as a teenager must have been extremely difficult. Your resilience is truly admirable. Best of luck in your current and future endeavors. The collection is wonderful, and the personal meaning behind the pieces is even better, wear them in good health!

Phew man it was tough I won’t lie to you .. but it also made me who I am today .. it forced me to become a “man” a lot faster .. I’ve got a unique family situation in that I’m an only child, and my mother and I grew apart from that tragedy overall. There were some good times and some normalcy, but all in all not so good (she and I relationship after the fact) …. Make a long story short, she blew through my entire inheritance I mean l literally got next to nothing in comparison to what was supposed to be for me .. I was 16 when this happened, so when I turned 18 she essentially tricked me into signing everything over to her .. basically she had an attorney present who I “trusted” and together they tricked me into signing things that gave her full usufruct ..

So fast forward to my very early 20’s she blew through everything .. I mean zero dollars left, none. And I found out around this time, that the whole inheritance was supposed to go to me.. point being she mismanaged the money worse than anyone could ever imagine …. It was something like 3.2 million dollars .. I was lied to about that too..

So why is this all relevant?? Well I’m just mentioning this because like I said it all shapes me into who I am today.. having grown up silver spoon-fed and then in my early 20’s suddenly have absolutely no one to turn to for any help financially, for advice, anything really .. I had to figure it all out on my own.. I got my first real job very soon after, which was at a dealership selling cars .. built from there, and here we are .. obviously there’s so much more detail I could go into but I have already rambled so much ..

But yeah so my dad was total hero and best friend to me so beyond all these details, just the actual loss itself at a young age was surely a very tough endeavor.. but I just knew I can be a statistic and go downhill like so many in that position would, or I could be different and use the situation to drive me to be my best .. that’s the route I always try to choose !

so so dangerous for a police officer to approach a vehicle with totally blacked out windows what you can't see could kill you most states have laws allowing a certain percentage of tint allowed traffic stops are very dangerous you never know what your walking up to and to not to see inside the vehicle is worse

Yes in the US definitely.. where I live, police officers don’t approach vehicles at all ever anymore .. traffic stops are handled by the officer asking the driver to step out and then they move forward.. I’ve got quite a few buddies in the different departments around my way, I’m going to ask them if they’re all still doing it that way.. now you’ve got me curious
