Wow, tough crowd.
I'm thinking about it. Well, I was. Now I'm thinking about bacon. Delicious, think-sliced apple smoked bacon.

With 3 years worth of dedicated emails, I’d have flown over and popped by the shop by now…

Interesting replies... some quite fun!
And yes, i can easily wait for 7, or even 10 years, no rush as have been an enthusiast for decades. Have a feeling FOMO is getting the best of some people nowadays, especially the newbies who have been enthusiasts for only a handful of years. Plus, and let's face it, some of the conglomerates have lost the plot. Money is always funny... in a rich man's world. Time...................

If you all remember they, and several of their dealers/distributors, took indications of interest for this second watch in 2019. I placed my name on two lists, one in the US and one in Europe, I don’t expect to hear back from either given what has happened since then (the general market, the indie market and the Akrivia CC market).
I am a big fan of the AK-06 too, such a cool watch and more interesting in my opinion than the CC. Smaller audience though and not the flippers dream. |

Not sure it’s even about waiting at this point. I don’t think there’s a list to get on. Of course the secondary market is always there but they don’t come up all that often. Esperluxe had one a while back. Not sure what it sold for.
Let us know what you hear if you reach out. My guess is you won’t even get a response or a copy and paste thanks for your interest we are not taking further orders. I think the CC window closed for most people 2-3 years ago.

BTW, have a feeling the reason they don't come up for sale in the secondary much is due to enthusiasts like me HODL

I am seeing this too. AkriviA models are spectacular and recently held an AK06 which was my least favorite but once in my hands for the first time, it was “everything”. I see why the chase is so intense. Also, with the money craze and outrageous high prizes, their retail is reasonable. I can’t believe I said that on a $100K+ watch.
I think CC2 is closed. I think allocations have not been made but you better be Jean Claude Biver to get one or a similar watch baller. Not/not the same brand but don’t miss out on Petermann Bedat. While on their brand infancy, I think this brand may provide a beautiful , different alternative. The new Titanium 1967 Dead Beat Seconds is really modern and well executed. They are working on something new I am sure. RRCC 2 I hear is 99 and these guys are making 25 pieces in 2-3 years. Lesson learned: start early. |

Any views on the new movement? Just by the looks of it I prefer the movement of CC(1) over CC2.

I say go for it if you want it. While I can admire the design and execution of the watches , the email threads are what you will experience when trying to work with boutique brands. What happens when your watch needs service? or just a warranty problem? I do appreciate boutique brands because they have artistic freedom. How many employees do they have in the US? How many employees in the world? When you buy one of these boutique brands and you have to work with them at a later date the service will also be slow and I can not address their level of consistency or quality of there after purchase care. Just my .02 from my experience with small brands.

Greenlantern, how do you know you failed? AkriviA does not answer emails often, does not respond to IG messages, and may not call but you never know. Unless you get a “we are sold out and unfortunately you did not get an allocation” email, I would keep pursuing. Plus, there will be a new AK soon which I can’t wait to see and I am sure they will be designing the new RRCCIII! Start early. All we can do at this point. It sounds like they would be lucky to have someone like you owning their watch. Keep us posted. |

Go for it. As you already know, AkriviA is really small group and I am sure they are so overwhelmed by the hundreds if not thousands of requests to get their RRCC2. I’d be patient, kind, understanding, and persistent. With the little interaction I have had with the team, they are so nice and warm hearted. Wish you tons of luck and will cross my fingers for you. |

Setup an auto-emailer for every 35 to 45 days, that should suffice.
