Incoming (and the most unloved Rolex on here)!!
I just walked out of one of my known grey dealer’s shops and picked up this YG tank.
Yes, I know all of the YM2’s get completely BLASTED on these forums and other internet sites due to all of its “flaws” such as the ostentatiousness of it; it’s high price; the useless complication; no date; busy bezel; size; weight and its “horrific” dial, but somehow it all just comes together in a unique and harmonized way. It really is impressive in person and only seeing it in pictures does not do it justice. Additionally, I’m sure the SS, TT, and WG are all special in their own ways. Finally, for us bigger guys w bigger wrists (mine are 7.75-8 in) or even guys w a little bit of smaller wrists, this can still work. The curved lugs help it fit better on any wrist compared to the traditional sharp lugs on other models (ex. Sub; GMT; SD; etc). The watch is definitely an acquired taste, so I guess I’m ordering a drink at the bar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congratulations! I think that it’s the perfect chronograph as it’s countdown function is better than a standard timing chronograph IMO. I’m not sure if I could pull of the size and I still wish that the bezel just counted to 60 (as the 1-10 is on the dial anyway), but I really really like YM2s. Beautiful watch!!

What made you go grey instead of AD for this piece? Is a YG YM2 also hard to source at an AD these days? It seems that the grey price is more or less MSRP?

Yeah, even hard to get at an AD AND from a grey. All of the greys say the same thing: Rolex sports watches are on fire. All of them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

As above - it's a happy watch. Just buy the yacht and race it - then the complication pays for itself in spades :-)

Actually like the full yellow gold YM2. I am not sure if I am a yellow gold person, but entertained the idea and would probably choose this over a yellow gold sub. More interesting to look at for sure.
Congratulations. The watch looks good on you. You have the wrist for it. |

Congratulations on your YM11 its a great watch and the only thing that matters is yourself like it, and yes its not the most hyped Rolex out there. But many today buy the hyped watches to wear just that the hype instead of the watch. Wear your new YM11 with pride and in good health for many years to come .

Congrats and wear it in good health! It was my first Rolex purchase after lusting over the gold YM2 for years. It is an amazing piece and a head turner, one I enjoy immensely every time I put it on and will never sell. Any hate on the forum is disconnected from reality
