Added this blue BB58 to the squad this morning when I took delivery from FedEx. Shameless plug for Troy (tie219 here) for an excellent experience. Troy kept me in the loop every step of the way, from confirmation of funds receipt to tracking information to following up after delivery. Thanks, Troy!
Anyway, onward to the main event! My first Rolex was a 116710 and my first Tudor was a BB GMT. Both lovely watches by their own accounts. But I picked up a 16710 last year (apparently I have a thing for GMTs) and fell in love with the way that 5 digit reference sat on my wrist. The weight, the proportions, even the aluminum bezel has a charm to it that I don’t get from ceramic. So when the BB58 was announced and the size/proportions so closely mimicked the 5 digit Rolexes, I knew I had to have one…just not in the original colorway. It’s nice, but the gilt just isn’t for me. And then came the BB58 blue. But times were weird. They still are. And watches got put on the back burner as I purchased my first home this year (thankful I did not have to sell any of my watches to do so!). But alas, the BB58 blue and I have found each other. I went to my AD to have it fitted and saw these in the display case (for show only): Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
