Best source for really nice new straps
I have a vintage 1014 Oyster Perpetual. It came with the original Rolex strap. I would like to replace it with an aftermarket strap. Ideally, I think a honey/light tan colored strap is what I would like to find. I think that would complement the gold-capped watch.
The challenge is that the watch needs a 19mm strap. I can find 18mm and 20mm, but the 19 seems to be an odd size. I have an idea of what strap I would like, but most I find at online retailers seem to be cheap or don't stand up to any significant wear. I liked the ones that Bark and Jack had, but they are out of stock. Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you all!! PDG |

Check out Bas and Lokes. They make some really nice straps in a wide variety of colors and materials. They should be able to accommodate the 19mm size constraints.

Some of the companies suggested above make very nice but thicker straps. I would think a vintage OP would be best complemented by something thinner. Therefore, I suggest you have a look at Veblenist. As far as I can tell, they all come in a 19mm option. They will also customise every strap.

Fan of Monstraps here. Bought a couple sizes / varieties and the quality is solid for the price.

ABP Concept has endless customizable options. I used them for my vintage Omega and was very happy with the results.

My choice too for full custom. They can make you one from any material you can imagine made to the exact length to fit you. I have a couple from him.
For premade ones, Panatime has a good selection in all sizes. |
