Deep Sea special auction

It is estimated to sell for a high of $2,630,000 and a low of $1,315,000 at Phillips.

Fabulous piece of horological history. Hope it goes to a worthy home.

As an aside I remember when micro-brand Helberg/H20 were making a version of that. Not sure if they still do or not.... or indeed why you'd buy one as it's totally impractical.

I had two (bronze and SS) and now just have the SS. It’s very practical in the summer and as a mood piece. I doubt I’ll ever sell it.

I’ve got one of the Helberg CH-1’s in bronze. I don’t wear it much but it’s quite a conversation starter, even non-watch people notice the bubble crystal.
