Rolex Service Cost and Wash, DC Alternative
I took my Submariner 14060 in for a service at a jeweler listed on the Rolex website. I was told over the phone and at drop off the service would cost $850 plus optional things. No problem. I get the estimate today and the basic service quoted is $1100 plus options.
Anyone have an independent they have used recently and pretty high on in the Washington DC area? |

Did you ask them why there is a price difference?

I've used both L&B and Tiny Jewel Box, they were reasonable in price and service. No issues.

I called and got the voicemail. I replied back to my estimate email and asked. No response yet. They also said my serial was hard to read. I didn’t have any issues. The serial was off by one digit. I emailed with the correct serial. They said since it’s faint they would discreetly engraved inside case back. Is this common?

I had Tiny Jewel full service my Daytona, it was about 900 if recall. That was about a year and a half ago.

Liljenquist & Beckstead in Tysons has always done mine. I think the last time I had it serviced was around $750-$800.

Thats a pretty common cost for an overhaul. In 2015 or around there I paid 1050 for a 16610 at RSC I dont think this is bad every 10 years.

I called to go and pick up my watch. They shipped it to Rolex already. I asked to have it shipped back. The guy on the phone said I’ll have to pay for overhaul anyway so just stay the course. Nope.
I think after constant price changes while getting a new car I’m just tired and want someone to give a price and not say well you’re already here so you might as well take my price. I also thought they did the work in house. |
