Might depend on your definition of "micro".

You should have no problem getting a tourbillon from Laurent Ferrier, H. Moser, Grubel or DeBethune. For truly micro (basically a one man show) Haldimann would be accessible.

Agree. Great list. And price point may make a difference as well. I think there are a few Swiss or Swiss-made microbrands that offer accessible (5k-ish) which may be a way to dip your toes in this pool before commissioning a Gruebel Forsey Double tourbillon :)

Looking forward to your update and eventually oics

Gruebel Forsey all the way.. I own two of their watches and one is a tourbillon and it is just an amazing watch. They make a great lineup and can even skip the double tourbillon and go for their quadruple tourbillon.

Roger Dubuis also makes some interesting single and double Tourb. pieces

As suggested on the other board, I'd think more advanced with MB&F. Single axis is basic if you want old-school, though if you want true modern complication of what is possible....

What’s your budget? Btw my main beef with tb is the long service time if you run into issues.

Service time and cost. I heard that a Greubel Forsey service starts at 10K

What Swiss micro brand makes a ‘budget’ tourbillon?

Very interesting! How good are their watches?
I visited their website and their marketing style seem interesting. More like a pyramid scheme !

I just looked at the BA111OD website and some reviews. It seems a bit sketchy with Chinese movements. Did you order one?

Oh gosh no. Those are renderings. They claim Swiss parts, and frankly, the Swiss can make 'cheap' tourbillions and repeaters if they really wanted to.

What do you mean renderings???? Their watches are assembled in China. The parts are presumably made in Switzerland

The pics look like renderings to me. i'd like to see what a real one looks like in videos, etc. Built in China is fine for that price imho, as that's where your iPhone and many other precision electronics come from. The Chinese are really taking timepiece manufacturing seriously, and could easily equal the Swiss if they put some real effort into it. So much more manpower in China, with citizens willing to take many years of training, with highly precise modern instruments....

Check out the many movements available on AliExpress, for example. Now imagine if China put some real effort into handcrafting and decorating movements.

Have no idea the quality. I'd wait and see until it's been in the wild for a few months,

How’s the quality, craftsmanship, accuracy, and details?

Was better then expected. Below are some pics of the watch:

As for craftsmanship etc; it’s Chinese made and so it’s best to set expectations accordingly. Overall I’d say ok value for money.

The Chapter 4 model from BA111OD is sold belix 6k€ (tax included) and has a Swiss made tourbillon - aside from the sales model and founder of this company (see their site), the guy with whom it was développée is also interesting. Buying online, I received it 2 weeks ago after waiting for 9 months - as this was 3 months later than expected, the CEO sent an apology video - still, it requires a little bit of faith when buying to such a new small start up.

Vincent Deprez makes the Tourbillon Classique by hand, and it's only CHF 89.5k. Inward angles, 39mm and 11.3mm, what more can we ask for?

Except it is all sold out.

Remy Cools' next iteration is in PM and a big jump in price too...

Not a fan of dome watch due to the height.

How about Theo Auffret Tourbillon à Paris?

38.5 x 12mm and CHF 114k.

He finishes his own watches to a high degree.

Of the three, I like the Vincent Deprez the best. Theo Auffret’s skeleton look is not my cup of tea but that’s just my personal taste. But it’s price is also the highest.

Horage make a nice swiss one. Nothing Chinese about their company and all parts made and assembled in Switzerland. There's a nice Montblanc rose gold exo-Tourbillon on sale from grey for AU$25K. https://www.watchgallery.com.au/ If it's not on the website - try calling him.
