BLRO Landed

She’s an absolute stunner. Wow.

I’ve been wanting the BLNR for about 3 years and in the process acquired a Z-Blue, Sub 41 date, and an OP34 silver (for the Mrs.) from the same AD. Got the call yesterday and was offered the Oyster and Jubilee versions. Naturally, went with the Jubilee because it would be my first non-Oyster and because it’s just…unbelievably nice.

During the sale I saw an “exhibition only” Batgirl, but the BLRO seemed so much nicer in comparison. My sales rep is a “top 30” at Rolex and she told me an interesting factoid she learned at the Rolex factory as part of some program: that no 2 BLRO bezels are identical due to the baking process.

2 quick observations: the bezel grip is markedly smoother and harder to turn than the Sub 41’s.
