Pepsi bracelet exchanges as per rsc

Was just told by rolex that one can switch the oyster to jubilee., however if it came with a jubilee no upgrade or changing to an oyster.

Wonder why?

I’ve heard rumors of this as well, doesn’t make any sense…as I just picked up a jubilee for my BLNR today.

I thought I read something similar posted here when the Oyster model was first announced, figure eventually they will let you buy either or but for now seems like they are only allowing oyster owners to buy a jubilee.

No rhyme or reason for this. I would love to get an oyster for my BLRO.

Yes there is. The 'Oyster' is a new product - it is not released for purchase for 12 months from release. It's the same for new dials. The 'Jubilee' has been out for a few years now, hence one is able to purchase it.

True.
I contacted Rolex headquarters in NY and was told the same thing. Glad I now have the Oyster version because I can always add the jubilee bracelet if needed.

Its purely down to Rolex wanting to get the production watches out to the AD's. That means they need the oyster bracelets for the new 2021 watches. They will be available once the production levels are under some level of control. It's the same with the Sky Dweller too. I have a jubilee blue dial dweller and have just received an oyster bracelet for that within 3 months of ordering.

If I could get a Rolex GMT, any SS GMT, I would not care which bracelet it comes with.

It's a fantastic watch on the jubilee, the AD put the oyster on for me and I swapped it back out within the week. Nice to have the option to wear it either way.

How do I order a Jubilee bracelet for my 2015 GMT 116710LN which came on Oyster bracelet? Just call up Rolex NYC Service Center and ask to buy one? How much is a Jubilee bracelet?

Doubt you’ll be able to order a jubilee for that reference since it was never a factory option. You’ll have to find one on the secondary market.

I may be off the mark here, but my theory is this.

The Jubilee has been out for a few years, whereas the Oyster is pretty new.

If someone purchased an Oyster bracelet they may try to pass off a naked 3 year old watch off as a 2021 model.
