Interesting video
Apologies if this is an old one but I came across this video of a guy posing as a celebrity to buy Rolex watches and thought there’d be interest here. Fascinating!

Cool experiment. I love how much everyone stresses about the shortages and the millions of conspiracy theories that come along with it. The truth is pretty simple: ADs all receive a different amount of watches according to their volume each year; it's not even or fair for the ADs. They make their own decisions on how to allocate:
- some hold stock for the high-value clients, - some keep in-demand watches in the back for walk-ins that they view has having a low risk of flipping, - others put their stock directly in the case, - and still others have a list that they just work down through in order. There is no "one" allocation method. Source: My AD |
