Slga 007 - My preorder has arrived. Should I complete the purchase?
Hi All,
My GS SLGA007 is waiting pick up at my local AD. I currently own the SBGA413 as well and few Rolex and other watches. I got caught up that it’s a limited edition and the blue dial. I usually purchase what I like vs if it will appreciate in value, although I’ve been luck so far. I appreciate each brand for their uniqueness. I’m now wondering if I should complete the purchase of the 007. What are your thoughts on the price for a GS? Do you think there is value? Thanks, Tom Last edited by tbfrun262; 24 December 2021 at 02:34 AM.. Reason: Clearer title |

It's easy to get caught up with LE, but in the case of GS -- and I say this with love -- there will always be another LE.
Have you had the chance to try it on? I saw it a couple weeks ago in person and really loved the dial. The SLGA007 bracelet is more solid than on your SBGA413, but I really wish they'd found a way to taper down the 22mm width, or at least offer some decent strap alternatives. I ended up letting my SLGH003 go for that reason. |

No offense but just leave it for someone who will wear and enjoy it.

If you only had to keep one, which would it be? The sbga413 is indeed quite nice; these are 2 different dials and that is a matter of personal taste. While the price of the SLGA007 is about 2k higher than sbga413, the movement (and perhaps the case design) is much improved. Is it worth 2k USD? I believe it is. In this rather insane watch market, I have seen 2 k or more in price differences in the grey market for the same Rolex model. This is at least adding tangible value. Good luck and let us know how you decided to proceed. If you decline, you will give another person the pleasure of having it and that is not bad at all.

Bracelet and clasp are deal breakers for me. Not enough taper and no microadjust. No thanks.
You may as well fulfill the purchase, try it out, and if you lose interest you could sell or trade it later without taking a large hit.
