Gotta get rid of one...sorry, not sorry.

Well I am a firm believer in wearing my watches and not "collecting" them.

I'm honest enough to say that I'm not stupid about "future value" but over the last 2 years I've gotten rid of a black and white 16570 Explorer II, YM 16622, Tudor Tiger Panda Chrono and a 16700 GMT Master...probably more but the mind is a horrible thing...

This has got to go...off to a new home where she will be loved and cherished...I just definitely wasn't cherishing it. I admit it was the best GADA watch but...I just never went anywhere or did anything with it!

And this isn't an "ad"....watch is gone.

Anything you are man enough to put out to pasture this year...?

Picked out that one line and ran with it!

I was being funny/ironic I guess it didn't work. I mean its hard to sell any of my Rolex b/c they are so damn hard to get at or below MSRP which I have.

Don't read too much into it...

I may offload some pieces soon. Not sure what I’ll do with the money, but it’s unlikely to be put into this hobby at the moment.

Many of us move watches on for a variety of reasons. I’m slow to buy and even slower to move something on, but when it’s time it’s time.

In the past, if i wasn’t wearing it, I would dump it. Everything outside of my BB58, wife bought it for me so it stays. But i don’t really need to anymore so i doubt I’ll sell any personal watches in the future

Nothing wrong with curating an ideal collection! When one has to go, it has to go!

For sure that's true but..

I like the plain jane these days.

Don't sell it.

Hope this helps!

True it is a plain look but I like it and it’s even better looking to me on the Day Date in any of the PM colors.

This is great reading for any impulsive watch guy/girl.

Being slow to buy ensures the purchase is not an impulsive and has helped me in recent times. This has taken me years to learn and I’ve been guilty of buying something on a whim, and selling for a loss down the line.

If buying or looking to sell, I’ve found it helps to revisit in 3 months and if you’re still yearning for change then that’s a green light to proceed!

I have traded some pieces this year. A rootbeer. It was tough as I loved the aesthetics but I have never been able to fully gel with a TT bracelet hence my bluesy going too. I also sold a red OP before prices went mad based on finding it a clash with outfits. As I trade through watches it has given me direction in what I ultimately want as a collection. 4 watches: DD, Daytona, GMT (either Pepsi or BLNR) and SD43. I believe these cover the land, air and sea as well as the ultimate dress watch. Think it will prob take me another year or two to get there but can then switch off and enjoy.... he says... until the 2022 releases throw a spanner in the works.

I’ve moved a lot of watches over the years but have got to the point where I take my time and am in a good place with my collection.
I’m only hoping to add in 2022.

I actually really like that watch, as well as the configuration (smooth bezel, oyster bracelet). But I 'get' it, Mickey. I totally understand that we don't always bond with every watch we purchase. We have to stay focused (like a laser, lol) on curating collections in which every piece is truly and thoroughly enjoyed.
