15500OR Wait Time
Recently purchased a 15400 black dial from the gray market. Love it, but I feel like I'm hooked now. Want to get a 15500or on strap now.
Did a little searching through the forum and sounds like it's a little easier to get through the boutique than a steel 15500, but wanted to know if anyone had any experience recently as far as how long the wait time was? I should add that I have zero relationship with any AD or boutique anywhere. |

It has been in my number 1 waitlist slot for 18+ months.
I believe at one point it was certainly easier to get, but that is no longer the case considering grey 15500st are nearly double the msrp of the 15500or so people looking to go grey market steel 15500 prices are willing to also pay the msrp on gold variants. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you buy a Code it will probably increase your chances.

It is very hard to acquire now. If you can, I would suggest go with the full RG bracelet, it’s the most gorgeous timepiece and you can order extra strap to go along with.
If you get only with strap, it will cost you a lot more if you want to add bracelet later.

I have been curious about this. The cost difference is about 20k. How much is the bracelet if you order separately?

If I’m not mistaken they are about 27-28k for bracelet only when they are available. There was a fairly recent post and I believe he said 28k. Call AP Service center at clearwater and they will give you exact price with recent increases.

I hope you do not mind me asking you. I have been offered the ROC RG on strap, but my mind is set on one with the full RG bracelet. That one,Not sure,We will try,Maybe,You have to wait Is the answers I get when asking. Then I got the suggestion. Buy the one on leatherstrap. Then after 6-12 months you might {MIGHT??} be able to buy the bracelet. But no guarantee. Cost? Around USD30K give or take. Cannot give you exact number before we sell it to you. AP Company owned boutique are the sellers Would AP even allow such orrific modifications as the watches have different reference numbers Would the bracelet even fit on a watch that came on strap? Value my guess it that the cost of bracelet is something I might eat 20-50%of if I were to sell as it is not original to the watch. If you do not mind to give your thought on the matter. |

I would take what you can get now vs waiting and MAYBE getting the one with the bracelet. Not to mention the automatic significant appreciation from msrp to grey its a safe buy. Absolutely, the bracelet will go on the watch that comes with the strap. Just like you can buy the same strap if you originally got the bracelet version. The biggest factor you need to consider is the 8-10k premium you will pay by buying the bracelet separately. I would be buying the one on the strap without hesitation in your shoes, but thats just me. If its something you dont plan on holding long term even with the 8-10k sunk cost in buying bracelet you will likely end up with at least a 15-20k return on your investment. Yes, some buyers may ding you 4-5k for not matching serial numbers in bracelet to watch, but someone wearing it daily wont care and ultimately you’re still in the green. Normally ROC RG with strap or with bracelet have exactly the same build, they are interchangeable. In the past, AP allowed customer to add bracelet later. I am surprised that AP boutique cannot confirm you on that. You might have to wait in case they don't have it ready in stock. They can make a lot of profit on this item, why wouldn't they allow?
I think when people buy pre-owned, they would love to have both strap and bracelet.

Thank you to all above that replied to me.
I will push the one on bracelet a little harder, and if still a no go accept the one on strap. I am in no rush to buy,but with prices increasing every 6months it seem....I can have more fun for that money myself |

I'd agree with buying the strap version now since its available to you. At that point, you'll be on a waitlist for a gold bracelet instead of the 15500.

Don't understand what your SA tells you. Buying bracelet alone is a non-issue...

I’d get strap now and order bracelet. (They do allow it, only a question of will you get one before the next price hike with waiting in line for the part).
Also don’t forget you aren’t really paying a premium but really for the parts of plots, strap, deployment clasp when you end up with both strap and bracelet setup. Hope you enjoy the new watch! It will be a beauty! |

That is completely different issue, AP might not allow to swap to certain dial color also in some models.

Its a great reference and on my shortlist. How is the fit vs strap and bracelet? Does it wear smaller on the strap?

At least as of last year it was do-able. Easy phone call to ask. I believe as long as your profile shows you have the watch, ordering the bracelet is possible.
@ NYG1121, I have the chrono, not the 500. My expierence is that the deployant clasp is very uncomfortable if your wrist shape does not match the shape of the blade. The code or ROO deployants are much better designed in both comfort and function. But they also don't work here because of the shape of the tongue or the thing that goes through the hole, whatever it's called, is different for the RO leather strap. I personally prefer the tang buckle, but then you have the very minor, very first world problem of not enough counter weight to the dense gold watch head. All to say doesn't wear smaller, only different levels of nit picky comfort. |

I'd take the OR on the strap if you can get it. I have one and a 500st. The RO has a very bulky bracelet that damages easily, I can only imagine it is even more delicate in gold. I'm happy having the OR in a different configuration too. And yes a boutique can get you an OR bracelet at a higher cost, but you will still come out way ahead

Really love the OR vs the steel , asked the botique to keep me in mind for one since June 2021 , was told maybe sometime in 2022, but still haven’t heard back. I did purchase a code in October to get the ball rolling but still was told they would try for this year and no promises so crossing my fingers. Also I think you’ve got it wrong the ST version might be more sought after but they also produce way more ST versions than OR. OR renditions from my understanding are much lower in production
