BB58 silver

Have been thinking about this one but have not yet seen it in person.. have the BB58 blue and love it but this one is a bit thicker . Tried on the gold version today and felt quite nice on the strap.

Does anyone OWN the silver ? How is the weight, hue of the metal, dial color and overall enjoyment been? I asked my SA to order one for me to see in person but unclear when that will be.

Thanks in advance for anyone’s experience with this odd ball piece !

I have the silver and can't say emough good things about it. Absolutely love it.

Unique and so good on the wrist.

The hue is gorgeous, the weight is great, really a perfect watch for me and it looks great with my clothes.

Amazing watch, completely different on the wrist than in photos. Probably the coolest watch Tudor has made since they discontinued the blue snowflake submariner.
The best part is the taupe dial. The color, the coating together with the WG surrounds make it perfect. Last summer I used to dive for hours just to watch the caustics from the sea surface on the dial.

I have one and love it. It feels great and the taupe dial is a really unique color, yet still understated. I've been wearing it nearly daily since October and haven't seen any tarnish issue either.

this one came up recently and the...oxidizing(?) strikes me as odd:

https://www.bernardwatch.com/Tudor/B...ght-925/TDR594

i'm fairly familiar with the discolorations of silver, but that's on silver that's typically worn. i'm assuming this is atypical, given that i haven't seen much commotion about it here...or typical for silver that's sitting around?

That looks weird … especially since I thought when silver tarnishes it’s a blackish color not yellow.

Mine's tarnished and I like it.
Maybe it was prolonged exposure to saltwater and Coppertone.

You went swimming with a dive watch?? What were you thinking ?!?!

(Kidding)

Kind of surprised by the tarnish given Tudor’s claims. Out of curiosity, do you see black residue on your skin after prolonged wearing?

Also for you and others - have you noticed it’s easier to scratch or ding since it’s a softer metal?

Wore mine to work today. I've had it since last summer with no visible tarnishing and still enjoy it as much as the day I picked it up.

Didn't manage to scratch/ding it yet, but it's definitely softer, you can see the micro-scratches from normal wear.

Haven't noticed any black residue on my wrist after wearing it. I think Tudor partly went with the exhibition caseback because of the tarnishing and the residue. Also probably wearing it on a nato strap will slowly brush all the markings, silver is a softer material after all.

The transparent caseback was a practical solution from Tudor, you can't see the movement if you're wearing it on a nato. I still don't get why nobody thought about this in the reviews.

Totally agree about the case back. As I was watching the you tube reviews I couldn’t understand why the reviewers were baffled - seemed so obvious why Tudor didn’t go with a closed sliver case back. For the same reason, I assume, they don’t offer it on a bracelet.

I hope to get/see it on the leather strap, and add the NATO later if I like it . The pics look very cool, thanks for sharing !

Nice looking on pictures, one drawback is the lack of a bracelet as an option

Haven’t seen these, it’s stunning. Is this the only silver reference Tudor or Rolex makes? Have they made others in the past?

Mine has zero tarnish and from what i've seen it's easily removed if needed. Love this watch so much!

here's a pic for comparison purposes. the 925 is definitely thicker, but such a great dial.

If you own all three of these, do you or anyone notice a difference in how the silver crown winds, either to set the time or wind the watch? Harder to wind?

This is one watch I’m strongly considering after recently acquired a bb58 blue. Love the watch and need to see this silver one in person. I just wonder how much thickness it adds due to the sapphire case back versus the normal bb58. Love the slimness of that watch.

About half a mm. practically unnoticeable when on the wrist (at least for me when I tried it)
