Movement Questions
This might need to get moved to the Tech forum but I thought that I would post it here first (moderator please feel free to move). Anyhow, I think that the Sub has the 3135 movement and the Sub No-Date COSC has the 3035 movement - is this correct? If not, what are the correct movements and what are the differences (besides the obvious date-wheel). Is one movement beter than the other (can the ever be answered)?
Thank you, Jonathan [email protected] |

No...
The Sub Date has the 3135 movement in it...correct The Sub has the 3130 movement, the same basic movement minus a date wheel. ...or you could say it the other way around...the Sub Date has the same base movement, but with a date wheel added. (the 3035 movement was used in the older 70's DateJusts, etc)

Movement questions about Submariners...
I posted this on the Tech fourm but didn't get any real answers so I thought that I would try here.
What movements are used in the Submariner (no date, cosc) and the Submariner Date. I thought that they were the 3130 and the 3135 - is this correct? Besides the obvious date wheel, what are the differences between these movements? Is one "better" than the other? Thanks, Jonathan. [email protected] |

diablojota,
Thank you for your response but it was not clear. Are the two movements the same except for the date wheel? Jonathan. |

Basically the 3135 is the 3130 with the addition of the date complication (the date wheel and complication to control the date wheel).

You have posted this three times...exactly the same.. and it has been answered..
In the future, one is sufficient....it's all the same forum I've merged two of them here........I tossed the other one as it was just repetitive...

Tools,
Sorry about the multiple posts but the first one that I posted never came through as far as I could tell (note the times 10:59 on the first version and then 3:04 on the second one in this forum (the non-tech forum)). Jonathan. |
