1680 Submariner
Thinking of buying this 6.8million 1680 submariner. Anything seem off to y’all? My vintage knowledge is pretty limited. Price seems pretty good.

Either the date wheel or the cyclops is scratched.
Of course a date wheel would be more coin to correct.

1680 is definitely a very nice watch. I had one for quite a few years and really liked it. I found that the raised crystal was more prone to scratching than say my GMT, perhaps that’s what has happened this one? In any event, they are great so good luck!

I second that! Have had my top hat crystal buffed at least 3 times the last couple of years…

Looks good. Be careful with the buff on the cyclops - it tends to distort the mag if not done right. In any case, not a big issue.
When you say price is "pretty good" - what range we talking about? |

My 1680 Sub cyclops is practically sandblasted, and my 1803 Day-Date cyclops is a disaster. Interestingly, the non-cyclops acrylic crystals (e.g., Milgauss 1019) don't get scuffed up at all. |
