AP House HK Great Experience

Went to AP House HK to catch up and view some of the watches, which I'm interested in. Couple of weeks ago when I bought my Code, they showed me the ROO 26238ST with light blue dial. Never thought I would like it, but after holding it, it popped my cherry.

Unfortunately the 26238ST light blue dial was at the other AP House at K11, so they showed me some other colours of the ROO 26238ST and ROO 15720ST. I showed my interest, so let's see if they can allocate one.

Why didn't I ask for the RO? I had the opportunity to buy a RO back in 2017, but didn't do it... I like the watch, but something is missing. Maybe it's the hype, I don't know.

When I left, they gave me a 'small' gift, one of their beautiful books. I was looking for a few watch books, without much luck,

Don't know why, but AP is quite addictive. Never had this with for example Rolex. It's not only the watches, just the overall vibe from AP is great...

Same here...love both of those and almost went with the blue diver instead of gray. Wish we had a single AP house rather than two boutiques within 10mins of each other.

glad you had a good time. most of the new models are at the k11 ap house, and the IFC boutique.

Haven't been to that AP House yet, lucky you!

Been to the Central one a few times though but the service at AP is right up there. Just hope they have another Art event this year, the last one I really enjoyed (https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...=ap+moon+event)

A little off tangent but does the AP House has the same fragrance as the other AP Boutiques? Haven't visited HK for 2 years, simply miss the place.

Why are there escalators to transverse neighborhoods on the hills? It can get hot and muggy for walking. Might as well be as far away as Zurich and Geneva.

Like the old joke about the two Starbucks across the road from each other in Chicago, both as top revenue stores in the entire US. If the demand is there, might as well IMHO.

Yeah, I know... I'm avoiding popular models. Whenever I hear RO, 5711, etc. I automatically think about those unproductive watch YouTube/grey dealers (their names shall not be named), which makes me cringe...

I could have bought a RO a few years ago, but was not convinced. I did have a 5711, but it got stolen... It was a graduation gift, still feel bad about it. Not because of the value, but it the sentimental value. Maybe one day I'll buy one back.

Probably the same reason why there are so many AP boutiques in HK as well. But playing devils advocate, I don't personally see the reason why there should be 2 AP houses in Hong Kong, as the the demand will always be there for the watches and the 1st AP house was hardly busy, I always walked in without an appointment & tried on the watches or played a game of pool.

Not to mention the rent at K11 Musea must be astronomical, it takes up some of the space of the private gentleman's club (i personally know the manager there)

not that there has to be 2 AP houses, but the K11 location is much nicer than H-Queens. AP is differentiating itself from PP, as this is a much nicer experience.

I put in a request for a 15500 2 years ago at the Harbour City boutique. They were very kind to invite me to go in for my birthday that year. That said though I haven't heard any updates since and found out my SA left for Roger Dubuis. Is it true that requests are at the SA level and not per store?

To each their own…I am an Island boy and I am happy to avoid going to the dark side, so the original Central one for me all day long! Although that terrace in K11 is awesome!

We are so lucky to be able to choose between 2 AP Houses haha

Anyway, that boutique had literally no watches. I was thinking of buying a Code to improve my chances with the 15500.

Just visited the AP House at K11, not that big but is cozy to have a drink and chill. The large balcony facing the harbor is fantastic. Got a chance to try on a few 50th pieces like the 16202 RG, and the green dial chrono, and ice blue dial, etc.

I like the way they are moving in terms of customer experience, and even allocation is better than Rolex/PP based off of your interest and appreciation of fine timepieces and AP as a brand.

I didn't place a request on any pieces yet, as they will have more releases coming this year. Can't wait to see what they have to offer.

AP House Central is more convenient, 5min walk from my office and 10min walk from home. I'm also one of those ignorant foreigners who avoids going to 'the dark side', shame on me.

I also don't want to "cheat" on the current AP House Central staff, lovely people...

Lovely Ap ppl in both central and K11 but have to say I like the K11 balcony view and drinks selection on top of the lovely staff ;)


Now it would be perfect to get a 50 anniversary allocation…

Not at all... I went to AP House for the first time a few months ago without an appointment. Had to wait for a few minutes before a SA helped me out.
