Special incoming for my Wife

Big shout out and thank you to forum member Rad22! He posted in another thread that his AD just received a YM37 and to hit him up if they were interested. I have been trying to buy this for my wife since last year. His bio said he lived in MI and I’m in IN so there was the possibility of being in reasonable driving distance! I PM’ed him and he let me know the store.

I fired off an email to the “general contact us email” and low and behold I got a call from a sales associate! She left me a VM and I immediately called her back. She confirmed that she just got a YM37 but it might be spoken for already and she would let me know in the morning if they passed or not. Fast forward to 10:30 this morning and she texted me to tell me it was mine if I wanted it, the other party passed! I hopped in the car for the 3 hour drive and it smooth sailing even with the crapper weather. She was a pleasure to work with.

This is a special incoming for my wife, her first Rolex and I wanted it to be a new one from an AD. She turns 40 this year so this was an early bday present. I surprised her with it as soon as I got home.

Quick picture before it was sized.

Congratulations!

My husband got me a Yachtmaster over 20 years ago (anniversary gift), and I wore it daily for decades. It’s an amazing watch that goes with everything. She’ll love it!

Michigan "Crapper Weather" adds soul. You won't forget the drive/purchase experience as quickly. Great job OP and a great watch. Hope she loves it!!!

Nice story!

And I can’t help but feel for the tough job ADs have these days where they might have to send out TWO texts if things go horribly wrong.

Fantastic reference for her and looks terrific. My ex bought one for herself about 15 years ago, with an earlier dial color (a sort of granite color), and she's been very happy with it...she's not wanted another watch since.

Congratulations to you both...
