126610LV vs 126610LN
I am thinking about getting the 'Cermit' but as far as I know, the only difference between the black and the green bezel submariner is simply the bezel. However, the premium on 126610LV is way more than the black one....like...way more.
So, I'm wondering has anyone here bought the black sub and got the bezel replaced to a genuine green bezel? Or is there more difference apart from the bezel which sets the two watches apart? And those who own either or both, could you share some pics or experiences with these two models? I have seen the black one and tried it on in person however, I've never seen the Cermit in person but there's something about the green colour which I'm attracted to. |

The bezel color and reference are the only differences. I’ve heard for every 10 LN they make one LV so they are a bit more rare and don’t come around as often. As for switching of the bezel you would have to switch out the entire bezel, insert, and retaining ring. It’s not something you can do on your own like the 5 or early 6 digit aluminum insert. At the end of the day you’d spend more on an LN and getting the getting the LV bezel than the full LV costs

Just the bezel. Everything else is the same.
The green is more unique and a little tougher to get hence the bigger premium. I would not recommend swapping bezels (you likely won't find one) because it's not true to the reference. If you want the green, bight the bullet and don't look back. |

If you love to show off on Instagram and social media (like many newcomers on this forum), then the Cermit is for you! Enjoy.
Don’t switch out a black bezel for green. That’s a “Frankenstein” watch. A big no-no. |

The bezel color and reference number are the only differences. Rolex will not allow you to swap the bezel.
I got both at the same time at the new releases show at Rolex boutique in 09/2020. |

The Cermit is basically a Half Hulk with the green bezel being the only difference. That being said, just got the bezel colour being different I would still take it over the classic black bezel & dial as I love the colour pop of the green with the contrast. Beautiful watch.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm not saying that I will but... since the only difference is the colour of the bezel and the reference number written on the mid case (once you remove the bracelet)...
One can buy 126610LN and a Chinese green ceramic bezel e.g https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...2e7e70f120d59c and get a competent local watchmaker to swap the bezel on their behalf? (or if courageous, DIY) If you don't want to wait forever nor pay the premium that Cermit has right now. Surely, someone must've thought about it and done it and converted their plain black sub to a 'Cermit'??? Personally, I'm leaning more towards the green 126610LV so I will start hunting down for one. If it gets too difficult or should I think the price is simply too much, I will opt for the black 126610LN. Cheers, |

Amazing! Looks nice. Care to share how one gets their hands on both at the same time?! Not joking. Actually curious how that even works when my local ADs tell me I can only be put on waitlist for one type of SS watch.

Question. How would one tell the difference between a genuine green ceramic bezel and a Chinese one?
1) a post I found on trf for the 'authentic'/'genuine' green bezel https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=833468 2) Chinese one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...2e7e70f120d59c So... again... how do you tell if the bezel is 'real' or not? And how did the seller in 1) get his or her hands on the bezel only??? Trivial to some but as I'm considering to buy the real Cermit, I'm really curious about this. |

Ceramit is the way to go
Absolutely beautiful Buy original watch and get done It will always hold more value than black anyway so I will not go through hassle of changing the bezel only Pay more get the real thing it will be better option U won’t loose money on it |

I’ve had all three green subs, and to me the 41 is the best of both worlds - old Kermit meets hulk! I prefer the new case/thinner lugs and less green. It’s one of my current favorites in the collection. But to each his/her own! I still think the hulk dial is a stunner. It’s just a bit too much green for me personally. The cermit seems more substantial and more all encompassing on the wrist. It is also greener and makes your wallet lighter

Bezel color is the only difference with the new 12 series Sub. The new Sub design is perfection on many levels. I have owned both 12 series Sub and recommend both. I have consolidated to "needing" that pop of green color on the LV as it is much more dramatic and complementary to both black gloss dial and green bezel. Its a bit flashier but not as extreme green as the original Hulk which I also owned. The new LV seems like a direct lineage from the ordinal 5 digit anniversary LV model.

IMO, changing bezel on the watch just to make it look like some other watch("way more expensive") is lame cuisine bro. |

126610LV vs 126610LN
Quote:
I think the premium he’s talking about isn’t the $500 msrp. It’s the 8-10k premium on the grey market for LV over ln I happen to have a 41mm ln and 41mm LV…if I was able to simply get a gen green bezel to swap on my ln from time to time, I would have done that in a heartbeat, instead of getting a whole new sub. Because after all, it’s the exact same watch in every way, except that colour of the bezel. Having said that…I’m amazed how different the ln / LV look on the wrist with just that simple colour update. They’re like totally different watches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I own green bezel 126610LV. But think the classic black 126610LN is the one to have. I state that switching bezels from one watch to the other just to look it more expensive is a childish at best. |

I can only speak to the 116610, which I own.
I swapped the bezel ring and insert with an ebay one. Fits perfectly. The level of difficulty was about the same as changing a strap IMO. I kept the old one for when the watch gets serviced or if it ever gets sold. Just got bored with black after all these years and well you know how hard it is to get anything with color from Rolex these days. I remember going to an AD around 2015 and him offering me a Hulk at MSRP. I scoffed...who would want a green watch, I thought? funny how things change. Its just for me....noone ever notices my rolex anyways, so no flex (i'm 50 and only go on iG occasionally when I want to look at slutty women). |

That's my logic whenever this topic comes up among friends. I come from car scene and people pull this stuff all the time, save money by running knockoff BBS wheels but slap on genuine BBS center caps... The bezel does give a nice enough contrast against the black dial; I do find myself pause and stare at my 41mm LV for a sec every now and then |

Personally, I would never swap the bezel. But its your watch, who cares? Are the Rolex police going to pop up and stop you to tell you your bezel is fake? 99% of folks won't even notice you're wearing a Rolex.

Get the real deal.
Just bite the bullet and go gray. Playing the AD game will be a lot more costly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Another vote for green, it’s got that extra special pop- you won’t regret it in the long run. Stay away from the Chinese parts, and keep it authentic.
