AD Authorized Dealer Recommendation
Can someone recommend an authorized dealer not in Florida that keeps good inventory levels?
Looking for a fairly standard lady datejust. Willing to pay list price. Just want to locate it without huge hassle or mark up. |

Good inventory levels? Doesn’t exist and if it did, people aren’t going to send you the directions to the golden goose.

I would just start calling and see hat they have that’s ready to be sold. They can give you the ref # and you can look it up and decide during the call if you want it.

Lol is this thread a joke!? C’mon. It’s Super Bowl Sunday in 2022, not 2002. There isn’t much inventory anywhere.

None. Sign of the times. Why not in Florida?

Welcome to the forum. May I suggest a little research of previous threads to get familiar here. The watch shortage is nothing new, and a topic that has been beat to death. Lady's watches are more available than most, but still hard to find. Start calling AD's or build a relationship with one and have them order the watch you want. Good luck and happy hunting.

Are ladies datejust difficult to find? I’ve been looking for a watch for over three years, but while looking at an AD last week we bought a datejust 36 for my wife. There were three to choose between. Still nothing for me.

I think you can get DJs in the case if there's just been a delivery and the AD doesn't have people lined up for specific models. I've seen several lady DJs in my ADs case on the delivery day - apparently they only lasted 2-3 hours.

I use to just call around town until I found the configuration I wanted when purchasing my wife’s datejusts. Last time I tried that a few months ago before Christmas I was treated like s**t on the phone by each and every ad I called, it was as if I was asking for a Rainbow Daytona! They all had the same spiel: “Sir, if you would like to start a relationship you will have to come into the store and express your interest in the models you would like” (blablabla) No, I just need a last minute Christmas gift for my wife and don’t have time to go to 7 different ads to be told they don’t have what I need.

Authorized Dealer? Take a deep breath. You need to build a relationship with a Grey Dealer my friend!

Yeah practically every AD is empty. But even if they weren't I noticed a lot of folks don't like sharing who or where their AD is. Why? No idea.

OP, I believe you can find some Lady Datejusts either in stock or with a short wait, but I firmly believe you will need to go in person to the ADs. Can’t suggest one because not familiar with where you live. Good luck.

I think you might come across some in stock potentially but being open and flexible here is key. I’m 6 months in on an order for my wife with no end in sight currently and have seen this play out with many others still waiting as well.

OP, right now, as you likely know, Rolex stock can be very hard to find.
However, as you are looking for a Ladies Datejust, these are often much easier to find than other references, especially in the smaller sizes. Could you provide a little more detail on what references you are interested in? (especially size). For the Ladies DJ, I would be inclined to think that you could call a store, introduce yourself, express your interest in the Ladies DJ, and potentially arrange an in store visit with a SA to see some in person, especially if we are talking about something like the 28mm size, as I have noticed the ADs in my area still routinely display these in cases. Some ADs may also still be willing to order certain references if you find something you like but not in your preferred configuration. |
