Buying from Chrono24 from AUSTRALIA
Hi Aussies, I am wanting to hear someone’s experience in buying from C24.
I’m just trying to figure out how it’s really done. According to my quick google search… I will have to add on 10% gst then 5% import tax. Item I’m interested in ordering is from South East Asia. I bought an instrument many years ago from the US and all I recall is receiving a call from customs and I just paid over the phone. i think it was around 10% of the item price. I did not fill out any forms or anything. Am I expecting things accurately? Is there a form I need to fill out and lodge prior to ordering?? Or do I just have extra $$ ready for gst and import fee and wait to be called?? Can any Aussies with buying from C24 shed some light in to this? Cheers, |

Not from AU but yeah customs will apply. In addition to C24 taxes. Some will claim a lower value on the customs form but they sometimes get scrutinized and I don't know what the outcome is in that case.
