Eterna Kontiki Date

I stumbled across this watch the other day, and would like to find out more about it - anybody have a lead on where one could buy such a watch?

The one place listed at the Eterna website as selling the Eterna line in North America said they never heard of it when I called today.

ETERNA's were very popular at one stage in my life, but now they've dwindled into solitude.

I've seen some of the older KonTiki models which are truly superb in finish and quality. The one pictured above has a very subtle date - had to look a couple of times before I could find it!!

apparently has a sellita sw 200 movement. i'd rather it be an eta 2824.

I am a sucker for white-dialed watches. I know almost nothing about Eterna watches. It sounds like they have not been sold in the US (and maybe other places as well) for quite some time. I like the less obvious date.

I think the only watch I have had with a sellita movement was a Bathys, and it seemed to be a good movement. I will be interested to learn the Eterna Kontiki Date price tag.

I have been looking, but have found nothing. I have to think there is some site out there selling Eterna watches.

It's been a week since I called the Eterna "AD" in the USA and they said they'd call me back. So far they still have no idea about this model, or the price or anything about it.

There appears to be no actual source (authorized or not) for these watches.

The Eterna brand has a very long history ... a few links including their website:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eterna

http://www.eterna.ch/#/en/home/

Notice the time piece adorning their home page ;-)

The brand was purchased by Porsche Design a few years ago I believe. I myself own a Eterna Airforce Automatic with date complication. Its powered by the ETA 2895-2 which is no longer in production. Keeps time well within COSC standard. I found a number of Eterna models (vintage and recent) on the bay but no ADs.
