1400 posts deep and incoming Seiko 5!!

Another Seiko 5 incorporated in the collection. Amazed by how heavy and sturdy it is for a 150 bucks watch! Really pleased! My wife said it looks just like a Rolex : )

Incredible value for money for a brand new automatic! Ref. is SNKE01K1 (A-K-A Baby Explorer.) Enjoy!

Looks nice indeed! The older series Seiko 5 never fails to amaze me. Enjoy it.

Congratulations. Looks great on the bracelet but I bet it will look equally good on leather or NATO's. Enjoy.

I agree! However this model has the end link mounted on the case so I don’t think a NATO will be an option unfortunately…

I really agree! Can’t imagine there is another watch on this price range that has a movement that doesn’t need service in 50 years…

That’s what they had written somewhere, can’t remember where though…(might be on another forum, in an article or even in a YouTube video).

I could have misunderstood or it could be an advertising trick (or even a myth). Doesn’t really matter at this price point….

Have you ever heard that statement before?

Yes, but only regarding the Grand Seiko 9F quartz movement. Seiko suggests (no guarantee) that it will likely go 50 years with no service required.

Okay, got it. Will post the source if I manage to find it…I probably mixed it up with the Grand Seiko Quartz…The Seiko world is brand new to my after being a Rolex nerd for years. Pretty intriguing to be a newbie again : )

BTW, did you receive my PM on my vintage Seiko 5?

No, but as I posted in your thread, it's better if you post pics of that watch in open forum so more people have a look and give opinions, info, etc.
