Icon20 Rolex Knob Controlled Watch !!!

hi

about 18 years back one of my relative had a Rolex watch which was charged/run by means of a knob/key (nowadays battery/cells are used for such purpose). Rolex at that time created such battery less watches. I want to know that is rolex still making such watches or not ? My relative lost his watch. I want to buy it again for him. Does anyone can tell me any of its model number or something by which i can search it on rolex website ?

waiting for your reply

I know Omega made electric watches...didn't know that Rolex did. Was it possibly an Oysterquartz?

perhaps your relative had a manual wind rolex? yes they still make batteryless watches. the majority of modern rolexes, however, are automatics.

Yes, it is batteryless and non automatic.

An Oyster Precision is what you want to look for.

Perpetual's are automatics and all batteryless.

Brian, you're right that "Perpetual" denotes automatic movements, but "Precision" does not denote manual wind - for example, the 6298 Explorer's dial stated "Oyster Perpetual" and "Precision".

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that the "Precision" badge is used when the movement isn't COSC certified.
