Watch Polishing In Bay Area?
Buying a pre-owned rolex in mint condition next week and hoping to get it professionally polished, but not wanting to wait nearly 17 weeks to send it to Rolex for polishing. Eventually, I will do this when it needs servicing in the future, but with the crazy wait times right now I'd like to avoid this.
Is there anywhere in the Bay Area that people recommended for in-house polishing? |

Why not get a better price on one that needs a polish. If it's mint it was likely just polished for sale.

Giovanni Passalacqua at 210 Post St. in SF is the best! He used to be the RSC for San Francisco. A few years back he serviced/polished my GMT from 1980 and it turned-out beautiful. He knows exactly how to properly polish, but NOT over polish.

I agree that a "mint" watch would not be improved by an arbitrary polish job; what would be the point?
As to sending to RSC just for refinishing, they usually won't do that. They will do a complementary refinish on case and bracelet in conjunction with a full service.

It's either not mint or you're doing unnecessary polishing.

Mint would mean no need for polish, what am I missing?

He is the best! A true watch guy. I’d not hesitate to take any watch to Gio. Wonderful guy and amazing staff.

Have to agree the only time any Rolex needs any polish is at normal routine service only.
