How Long Wait for BB58?

I put my name in for a black BB58 at my local AD a couple of weeks ago. I've bought my wife a Cartier Tank from there and some other jewelry, but I'm not a frequent buyer there. Sales Mgr told me he'd reach out as soon as one arrived. I went back in last week and spoke with him again and sent a follow up email reiterating that once one's in, I'll buy it right away. Two questions:

1) How long are folks waiting for a BB58?
2) How often should I check in w/ AD to make sure he knows I'm a real buyer?

Thanks!

Bought mine at MSRP without an hour of looking for it.

I was waiting for BB58 blue about 3 weeks even though my AD told me that it’s going to be 3-4 months. I hope you will get your watch very soon.

I don't see as many here in CA, Adam, as elsewhere. When I do, they are often on leather or Nato. As much as I love the Tudor Nato, I think this watch needs metal. Maybe Nato as an alternate.

I do see the Blue a lot more than Black OG.

IMO if you stop in monthly to let them know you are still very interested, that may be the best approach. An occasional text is good as well

I bought one from the case. I'd look for other ADs to be honest. With a tank and jewelry I'd say you're frequent enough.

The new Tudor boutique in Orlando has them in stock. They also had a few Bronze 58s in stock on Sunday of this week. They could possibly be convinced to ship. 🤷🏼*♂️

I agree, I definitely want it on a bracelet. They have a blue one in stock but not black. There are a number of ADs around the country who have them readily available to buy online, but my AD is a couple miles from my house, I'd like to buy from them if at all possible.....but I'm antsy!

It may depend on the specific model you want as well. I had the misfortune of asking my AD for a BB58 silver the day after they sold the one they had. Hopefully they get another one soon.

Tudor failing at being Tudor.

It's the same where I am near Toronto, a shortage at most ADs, and this was discussed on a Canadian forum, so it's not just me. I'm buying a blue 58 w/bracelet, and did find one in stock, but want to stick with my AD to build on that so called relationship. My AD said it's a bit of a wait but they will get one for me, it's not like they're lying, same place I got a Sub in under two months.

You can probably find one right away if you call around.

You can get any configuration at my AD immediately, with the exception of the gold.

On bracelet def less available than on nato or the leather strap. Always see them but not on bracelet. I bought mine when I finally saw one on bracelet. Either way, shouldn’t be long if you request one. Maybe 2-3 months. It just depends when they get the next shipment but wait isn’t going to be long right now. I don’t usually see them on bracelet here in MA but if you look enough or let the AD know you want bracelet, they usually come through fairly quickly.

My Ad had 4 in case, 2 blues, 1 black, and 1 silver case. Wait should be nothing on those.

Right after Christmas all over. I think some tax refunds came in and they thinned out again?

Readily available in several shops around me (Northeast). I've seen it countless times on display, mostly on NATO but a few times on bracelet. Your wait should be zero, assuming availability is consistent in all states.

You guys are a little harsh. No doubt the hype period has passed and these are regularly being shipped to US dealers. But if his dealer has sold all of their last shipment then they have to wait to get more.
I think your answer OP is “not too long” or “call around.”

I don’t think there should be that long a wait. Maybe a little longer for on the bracelet.

How Long Wait for BB58?

Definitely shouldn’t be long. Certainly not as long as a Rolex. In Florida, every AD I walk into has a black and a blue one readily available. However, to be honest, I’m not sure about the black one on a bracelet. Last time I was in AD, I think they only had the black one on the leather and fabric straps.

Just wanted to say good choice, OP. I love the BB58 and hope you get yours soon. Different place, I’m in Australia, but FWIW (not much!) I got one a week after asking.

The BB58 is readily available both instore and online. Several of our Trusted Sellers have numerous models. I spoke to one of the bigger sellers and he stated he would no longer take the 58's as he has so many and owners are trying to dump out regularly. I have owned them all and it is a great watch. I prefer it on leather. Why not just look at our Trusted Sellers, call, negotiate, pay and have the watch tomorrow by 12. Good luck.
