First Rolex 124270
Hi! First post here. I have lurked around here reading a learning for years but only recently joined when it seemed I may actually get the watch I was after.
I got the call yesterday and picked it up today. I had a great experience from the outset. I visited twice since November of 2021 and both times everyone was courteous and receptive to courtesy. I experienced none of the nonsense one reads about. In fact I got the impression that they understood that the demand was robbing people of part of the experience and were keen to makeup for it. So, a positive experience in all the madness. I also wanted to say thanks for all the information that has been shared in this forum. I sure have learned a lot! Also, I have read about some of the swag some folks have received with their purchases. I neither asked for nor expected any but was surprised to be given a green Wolf Cub winder when I took delivery. Pretty cool! |

That looks great on your wrist. Have a 36mm Seamaster and still wear it often. Classic size!

Congratulations on your great looking Explorer! Nice that your AD wanted it to be a positive experience, a rarity and something missing for the first time buyer in recent years. I had a pretty positive experience some 15 years ago with my first purchase & I long for those days again. Wear it in good health. Cheers!

Funny you should mention the 36mm Seamaster. I have a 2252.50.00 that was my first luxury watch purchase about fifteen years ago. This Explorer is actually taking over daily duties from that watch.
