Icon15 Deepsea 126660 vs 136660

I got my deepsea 126660 (preowned yr 2021) just two days before this new 136660 deepsea announced.

Did I buy at the wrong timing ? Any ideas if the value of 126660 will drop ?

Comfort me pls 😂

Not at all .Be very happy

There is no such thing as a Rolex "old model" .They never get old .

You now have a very last date, discontinued Rolex.Always good !

Well, considering the “changes” amount to a slightly thinner bezel (apparently!), an 8% larger date window (apparently!) and the removal of the divers extension (which is the one actually visible change!), I honestly wouldn’t worry about not having “the latest thing”.

If anything the 116660 and 126660 are more in-line with the actual dive ethos of this piece by having the divers extension.

The new one is a downgrade imo. They took the best clasp in watches and neutered it. Be happy with the 126660 - it’s the real deal in my book.

Value will collapse, sell it before it is too late and buy the 13 series and don’t keep it too long because the 14 series is lurking

You own debatably the most technologically advanced watch Rolex makes. Enjoy it, no need to have FOMO or worry about market values as the sentiment of most DSSD owners are the newer 136660 is a simple iteration of its predecessor. If you bought it for value, then really can't help you bought a piece that probably fluctuated the least in the past 2 years of all their lines.

Price of the 126660 can only go one way: dive, dive, dive! Can it resurface? Probably.

I think the 126660 is a pretty short production run, so it will do well over time. Do not fret my friend; it's an amazing watch!

What does it matter if you liked it when you bought it?

Welcome. I bought the DSSD James Cameron because I loved the watch. I loved the technology(that I will never use), the durability, and the special features. One of those features is the unique diver extension on the bracelet. They did away with this special feature and it makes me sad. I am also happy in that I now have a bracelet from Rolex with a very unique diver feature that they only produced for a few years.

As mentioned before, if you loved it when you bought it then no regrets, enjoy. If you think you want the new model trade in and move to it. Not complicated.
