Icon20 Your rolex weight?

Hey, was just wondering on whether or not how accurate some rolex ''weight'' threads and posts on the internet are accurate since Rolex themselves has not posted any official information. I have recently purchased a rolex 116201 from the official rolex retailer and have found out that my watch at best weighs at about 137.5 gm while it's ''suppoed'' to weigh at about 145 gm. Any comments? Is such information any accurate or are those numbers just approximations? Things don't add up for other watches as I've seen throughout the other forums with people having an identical authentic watch but with different weights. Can all of this have to do with when your rolex was manufactured? Since as how I am aware the older the rolexes, the lighter they tend to be.

They are all pretty close, unless you take a link out for sizing.

All link 137.5 gm while supposed to be 145 gm, don't get how that's possible you know... That's why I think these weight thingies aren't accurate.

It would be cool if someone with the means could show the weights for dd40 in each of the precious metals with same amount of links

There are multiple threads on TRF about this, many examples of both SS and PM pieces in them. It is pretty neat.

There is a thread here where with a good list. Many users weighed their watches and recorded the weights. It was a few years ago and it’s likely the two tone sea dweller and the 41mm submariners won’t be in there but there are a lot of modes listed and shown on a scale.

Seeing how some people on TRF like to compare Rolex + everything, I thought the title said, "Your Rolex and Your Weight".... immediately thought, I've seen it all now.

I weigh just under 14 stone. With my watch, you add 145 grams.

no but the problem is that my watch made in 2007 that's on the list, 116201 is supposed to weight 145 gramms while with all links on the oyster 2 tone bracelet it weighs at 137.5 gramms. How is that possible or could it have to do with the fact that rolex watches have gotten heavier over the years?
