Collected a Black Bay Pro last night…

I was lucky enough to be offered a Black Bay Pro on bracelet by a local AD I have a good relationship with. Collected it last night so have taken a few daylight pics today.

Going to a 39mm size is unusual for me (even with a 6.75” wrist!) but I must say that it feels great on the wrist and not too small in any way. Yes, it has a decent height to it but I actually like that for what is essentially a tool watch.

The cream coloured hour markers, hands and date wheel are gorgeous, and the bezel markings are crisp on the brushed steel surface.

I also love the new crown that screws right up to the case now (no elongated tube) and has deeper groves for a better grip.

The bracelet is beautifully finished as you’d expect and the new clasp with sliding micro-adjustment is a superb addition.

All in all, I’m very impressed and delighted with this new addition to my collection.

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Congratulations. That looks superb. The bracelet and clasp are fantastic. The dimensions look spot on too. The 16660 Seadweller and models after were always a little too heavy, but for a tool watch it works. Wear in good health

I think this is a really superb piece and the best modern Tudor made yet.

It addresses pretty much everything that’s put me off buying a Black Bay before now - no aluminium bezel insert to worry about, and (finally!) a decent micro-adjust clasp. I also think much of the thickness is taken up in the crystal, so I don’t think that’ll be as much of a problem as many think. Even the faux patina lume doesn’t strike me as overdone. I think it looks like a superb piece overall.

To be honest, this is more what I’d hoped the… ahem…“new” Explorer II from last year would’ve looked like.

Great watch. I can't believe I can't get one of these at a AD and will likely have to go grey for a freaking Tudor.

I’m sure they’ll be as available as every other Tudor is in a little while. I remember the BB GMT was a waitlist piece for a while and now you see multiple examples in AD windows. Just depends if can be patient or not.
