Incoming after a short wait
I thought I'd post a new thread related to my experience with the wait time at my local AD. First, my local AD is in a major US city and I expected that I would never be able to obtain a watch from them since I am not a big spender like a lot of people in this town. I had previously purchased an Omega SMP and a Tutor BB58 from them.
I previously owned a Y serial 16613LB, but felt like I was better off with cash at the beginning of Covid and sold it in March of 2020 for $5,500. Ouch. I have since wanted one of the new blue TT Subs after seeing the new releases with the white text and slimmer lugs. Pic of the watch I sold for $5,500 in 2020. I had been looking in ADs for a long time and in March I finally decided to pull the trigger and ask to get put on the wait list for the 126613LB, expecting it to take a year or longer (if ever) to get a call. My lucky day came on the date that my wife and I were returning from our honeymoon (exactly to months later). I got the call while in the air and promptly texted an hour later once the plane landed. Thankfully, the watch was still available and I arranged to pick it up the next day. My first thought was that it is absolutely beautiful! The quality of the watch is much better with the newer variation and the white text looks amazing in person. I am bummed that I sold my 16613 for such a cheap price, but I am happy to have the new variant and won't let it go any time soon! Oh an best of all, it is made by the same company that makes on of my favorite watches, Tudor! So in a way, this is a Tudor and I'm proud of that fact! |

Great story. You’ll enjoy the watch long after the details of the transactions are forgotten. Enjoy!

Congrats!!! I had a similar short wait for my 126613LN recently - great reference - I never thought about it until your post but I agree the white lettering looks better for this reference - really pops - I also prefer the look of this Sub with slimmed down lugs
Beautiful piece - enjoy!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Congratulations OP! 16613LB is a classic but the new 126613LB is IMO a game changer!

As heartbreaking as it must have been to let the previous one go (and for that price, oh my!), this certainly sets things right, yeah?
Beautiful watch and the updated version all the more so. Congrats OP! |

Well, if they make Tudors it's obviously got to be a great watch!
