Tissot PRX Chrono Release

Seems like this ticks a lot of the retro and dare I say, VC and AP looks for under $2k

I doubt I’d get one but all this for under $2k kinda makes one curious.

I think it looks great and Tissot has been on a roll lately. A watch that offers as much value as this really does make me question my own affinity towards much more expensive brands and models. I think we all can acknowledge that this passion/hobby is much more emotional than it is logical.

I think they've been milking this line, which I would to from a business perspective. Lot of watch for the money it seems

Agreed. They’ll definitely extend this rage as far as possible but I think everyone does it. Tudor, Omega etc. if the execution is good and it keeps prices respectable people will forgive.

Just wish they had either ditched the date altogether or slotted it in at 6 oclock.... But we can't have everything hahaha

Agree with everyone above, including ditching the date. The under $2k market is really heating up with good value. Heck, even the under $800 game.... Those $4k to $10k competition is getting pretty fierce. A manufacturer can no longer just shove a bone stock or basic sandblasted movement in any old rehashed case and think it'll sell for $5k.

These are incredible value. I just the Bucherer edition with gold plated hands, indexes, and bezel - stunner. The price $625. It is unreal how nice the watch wears. I’m a fan.

This is what a Rolex 17000 would look like if it was rereleased in 40mm.

I think this line is going to take off. Great looking pieces.

The watch is thick and chunky when seen from the sides. I wish it was slimmer.

I think it could be the Valjoux doing it. I’ve had a few Omega and Heuer with this base calibre and it’s tall.

Is they make a PRX with purple / grape dial, that would push me over the edge to buy one. :D

Purple is an underrated neutral. I like it.

I like the blue with silver registers. It appears to be a bit chunky but i'd like to see one in the metal.

Very cool watch and I look forward to seeing the White and the Blue dial version. The winner or loser will be the bracelet for me and if it can be adjusted for a comfortable fit. At this price point it could be a fun daily.

Need to see your wrist shots if they make it... just to, you know, be sure.

I'm 'all-in' on purple dials

I have the time only PRX automatic with the green dial, it's the best money I have spent on a watch for the package value it brings to the table. Not sure the chrono is a good execution for this collection though, which is all about sporting elegance in my modest opinion. Basically an AP on a shoestring budget. The appeal of the PRX to me is in the wearability, which can be an issue due to the integrated bracelet. Even the 40mm version is not for everybody wrists, which is why they introduced a 35mm quartz version. The chrono is 42mm! so it's definitely going to wear large on a lot of people. I fear it's going to be too big and too thick for my liking. But hey, different strokes for different folks as they say.

I second what you said about the time and date only version. I have the green as well as the blue one. The chrono version does not appeal to me as much though.

A 38mm would be perfect. Just bought the blue dial auto and I’m debating if I want the green. The chrono is definitely on my wishlist. The AD I bought the auto from is going to call me as soon as a chrono comes in. Might be a tad too big for my wrist. If only the first link after the case had more flex, it might work.

Just saw one today. Very nice looking watch and nice movement finish. Borderline thickness and size for my 6.5" wrist. Will probably stick with my regular PRX.

Really love my PRX80, extremely
Comfy and well made! My least expensive auto and I wear it often! I am guessing this would be great too!

The PRX has been a gateway for a couple of my friends/colleagues and I think the pricing is on point. Good value all round.
