All of the OP's threads are "I'm looking to buy this xxxx" then is followed by images of fake watches. There seems to be an agenda here, perhaps.

Not sure what's worse, the fake dirty watch or your camera.

He's likely an estate sales/yard sale/flea market type who does it part time for fun. If he was a pro, he'd know better. I've met my share of them over the years.

Thanks
Thanks for your insight. Appreciate you sharing your wisdom.
I actually didn't buy these pieces. They are pictures from the seller's listing. I am still new to buying Rolex watches and I try to get them from a reputed seller with all papers + box, when I can. However, if I am not sure, i.e. buying without any of the original components, I'll post the seller's pictures here and see what you all have to say. It's like a second opinion in a way. Anyways, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. |

You’ll save a lot of time just buying from one of the top sellers here. It’ll cost you a few more buck, but for a $10-$25+ piece, who cares? You know it’s a legit piece you’ll enjoy forever. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If you have to ask if that movement is a real Rolex movement then you need to stay away from Rolex sales…

any grandpa angle on this one? it'd be quite telling if there's a touching, interesting backstory of how he saved for and acquired this beautiful gen1 YM in the 60s (while working in the auto industry,) savored it/proudly wore the heck out of it and finally decided to pass it down to a deserving grandkid?

I agree 100%. My 96 year old grandmother knows that watch is fake. Maybe spend a little more time researching the brand before trying to commit to purchasing a several thousand dollar timepiece. I think someone is just bored or trying to have some fun. I think there is definitely an agenda here.

fake for sure, the movement, the casing, the dial, and the strap are all wrong.
Be careful out there.. |
