Confusing or enlightening...

Basically a one watch guy who lurks here for sport.

As such, I follow my watch ( 16570 black) and as a result I get all kinds of watch ads on FB etc.

Watchfinder shows me 2 16570s, basically same watch one with B&P at a $1k premium. Neither seems to be selling.

I follow my car values also. In this world of used car shortages I see Ads for the same car for weeks?

Is this a tight market or not?

Market for collectibles hit a wall hard about 6-8 weeks ago. Not much is moving since there’s a lot of uncertainty in the market. People are expecting another adjustment, but most don’t think it will hit the floor. The next 3-6 months will be an interesting period, for everything, not only collectibles.

Used watch market typically slows down during the summers, past two years excluded. More people are back traveling and spending on experiences as opposed to stuff during the summer. Market should perk back up in the fall. Demand at ADs is still very high.

I agree. With watches, I don't know what will happen. But I know what I'm hoping for! Time will tell. In the end I would like to see a shift with a few brands improving there marketing and maybe reducing there offerings to a more exclusive venue.

I think smaller brands will also adjust there rankings as some are real quality and may position themselves a little higher on the ladder.

I think with the right pricing, availability control and marketing at the moment is a golden opportunity to knock a few brands off there position.

I'm getting my popcorn and butter out for this coming year. I can't wait!

Based on a two data point sample, it is impossible to reach any conclusion.
