Tried on all the 2022 novelties, with some pics

Was able to view and try on all of the 2022 releases and as usual, came away impressed. A great private session with my favorite sales associate here in Carmel - can't express my thanks enough!

Now, my thoughts on some of the individual pieces:
-The Destro GMT is definitely not for me. I'm a lefty that wears my watch on my left wrist, and it just felt weird / wrong. I also don't love the color combination of black / green on the insert.
-Really liked the Air-King! Never thought about it before this, but it was well done.
-The Falcon Eye was pretty subtle and I initially didn't notice it when trying it on until my associate said something. I thought there were smudges on the crystal and tried to wipe them away! Pictures make this watch look better than it is, in my opinion. The picture below makes it look really different, but in person it just looks black. I came away underwhelmed.
-The mint green DJ was also somewhat of a letdown, as I liked it in pictures but not in person. Same goes for the mint green motif dial.
-First time I've actually tried the Deepsea on (surprisingly) and man, is that thing THICK.
-The runaway winner was the blue motif DJ. Looks great in pictures and is an absolute stunner in person. I already have a DJ41 but would consider adding this one to it, which is kind of crazy for me. Gosh, it was a beauty though...

Ok, onto the pictures - but not without a shot of what I wore first!

Thanks for sharing, Jesse! I feel the same way about the new GMT, just doesn’t do anything for me.

I have yet to see a destro GMT in the metal, but so far I am wanting one and trying to land one. I hope it's not a let down when I am finally able to try one on. I love how it looks in the many many pictures and vids I've been looking at online.

That blue Fluted Motif dial in a DJ41 looks amazing!! I loved that dial since it came out last year in the 36mm, but I still haven't seen that dial in person yet. I think it made it even more appealing to me in the 41mm. My favorite "flavor" right there as well, with the fluted bezel and on Jubilee!

The destro hurts a part of my brain that I previously didn’t even know existed. Gives me a migraine.

Those DateJusts with the fluted dials look cool.
I would like to see the new DateJust with the green dial.

How was the weight of the platinum dd40 compared to your RG dd40? Still comfortable or too much?

Beautiful shots. Had a viewing session last week at San Jose and I actually liked all the new models, including the lefty GMT. The star of the show was the new Air king that I was lucky enough to walk out with, but the green DateJust was a beauty too.

Jeez, the platinum day-date in the last shot is just incredible... I can't imagine the raw heft on my wrist.
I think it's safe to say that I'll never be able to afford one... but man would I love to try it on some day just for the experience.

That TT DJ motif dial looks real good. That would be a nice addition to your SS white dial.

My OCD can't handle too many of your wrist shots with the watch south of the wrist bone though LOL

Good looking watches. I like the new 42 mm Yachtmaster in YG. If it was on a bracelet I would be buying one.

What did you think of the slate motif dj rose gold? By any chance did they also have the silver fluted motif?

Thanks for sharing! Let me fill in the gap for the mint DJ41 (not mine, also tried at AD). This configuration is the one I would get (smooth bezel and oyster). That green is lovely.

Thanks for all the kind words on the Hulk - I know how polarizing it can be for some. There truly wasn't a single watch in there that I would trade it away for, regardless of cost.

It is definitely hefty and even I was surprised at how much heavier it seemed compared to my DD40. Having said that, it didn't feel like it would hinder me from wearing one...if I had the funds!

Not sure, but my SA didn't make it seem like it was one that everyone was charging the room for.

Haha - I know the way I wear my watches isn't for everyone, but sometimes it just appears that way in pictures. I'm currently wearing my watch above the wrist bone as I type this.

Absolutely gorgeous piece. I'm kind of a sucker for slate, even if I don't have one in my collection. If I didn't have my DD40, this is one that I'd seriously consider.

There seems to be a lot of interest in the mint dials and I'll admit that it was one that I really liked in pictures. Here are a couple shots that I took, but again, I was underwhelmed and left with a feeling of meh for both of them. The motif dials in blue and slate are killer, and even the white and champagne trump the mint to me.

The mint just seemed too bland for me, though that could be due to the high expectations that I had based on photos.
