I bought this watch many years ago at a launch event, still think it’s absolutely beautiful and rather unique. It’s one watch I’ve never come across in the wild since. I just can’t understand why it was never particularly popular! Anyway, thought I’d share …

Thanks guys! Yes, it’s titanium. Given I bought it 17 years ago now it’s held up very well.

I love the Aquatimers, but I really wished IWC would pay attention to these and the Ingenieur lines. They do need a refresh or new models in those lines.

I sold my iw3536-02 to a friend about 5 years ago and recently convinced him to let me buy it back. It's at LAWW getting serviced right now, can't wait to get it back - such a great, low key tool watch.

I predict that next April will be HUGE for IWC:

- New Ingenieur with genta (in-house).
- New Aquatimer line (in-house).
- New Mark XIX (in-house).

I thought this is what was said right before W&W. Then I heard to expect big things by September.

At this point, I'll believe it only when or if it actually happens.

While I’m also keen to see a new line of aquatimer, I still prefer the watches from, or conceived before, the Richemont era. I feel there was more design congruence and a refreshing Swiss-German simplicity. I also love the amusing ad campaigns from that era.

Depends on one’s perspective and whether one has a sense of humour! They’re only watch ads and were never meant to be taken seriously or literally.
