Meteorite vs Meteorite vs Meteorite

Hi all,

Just wondered what you would choose and why between these three meteorite beauties. DD40, Daytona (new one), GMT

Here is my take.

DD40. Cleanest dial as you see all of it. Meshes well with the diamonds. Works well on the bracelet. Is it too much with the fluted bezel. Perhaps the smooth platinum bezel of old.

Daytona. Stunning watch but is there too much going on? Is the dial too hidden? This will always be a unicorn which in my mind counts against it. Not seen in person

GMT. Functionality and style. Does the bezel detract from the dial? I feel the darker dials suit the Pepsi bezel better but have not seen in person

I think it's a tough decison as all have their merits. Interested to hear others opinions

Although I love my Day-Date, I wanted something more classic with a dial, and I love a black and yellow combination.

The GMT is great, but I felt like it was harder to read and I much preferred the blue dial WG option if I was to get it.

I voted for this one. The black sub dials are easy to read and with the “lightness” of the meteorite dial, makes it pop even more. My one improvement would have been adding the darkened indices and the chronograph hand, as I think it would have made this model pop. But overall, I think this is the one to get. (Obviously very biased)

I would take the GMT if I could only pick one, because I think the bi-colored bezel of the GMT gives the meteorite even more contrast to “pop” against, but I do love the DD 40 with the baguette markers. To me it’s the ultimate “I made it” watch next to a platinum ice dial DD40 which may never be in my cards due to price point even at MSRP plus the difficulty of being allocated one. I like the meteor dial Daytonas the best of all Daytonas, but I’m not a big Daytona fan in general so for me those would be my last choice for a meteor dial.

I recently tried the DD and I was lost for words.
Haven't seen the GMT in real life. But it would be between the GMT and the DD.

I wish they made the meteorite DD without the diamond hour markers. That would be DD perfection imo.

I agree. DayDate with meteorite and no diamonds would be killer. But unfortunately, there is no such thing.

The meteorite dial is ok but I'd rather have any of the watches it comes on with a cleaner more traditional dial. Now, if Rolex came out with a "Space-Dweller" with a meteorite dial, that'd be another story.

That is a winner sir. The Meteorite and Golden dials are amazing.

Oh interesting. This an earlier iteration of the DD meteorite? If so, when was this in production? I’m relatively new to this…

I was envisioning Roman numerals for my (hypothetical) perfect meteorite DD but this is nice too!

I never really liked meteorite dials until I saw and picked up the GMT. I’m not crazy about the DD meteorite. The Daytona meteorite is 2nd in my book because the dial gets obscured by the sub dials and you cant appreciate the meteorite as much by seeing all the cuts and polishing that you do on a watch without subdials
