Welcome to my new SubC 41 Date

Hi forum,

Way back in the earliest days of the first SubC generation, I owned both the 116610 and 114060 for a number of years. Loved both watches and may have owned more than one of each, back in the era when I was pretty active in the trading and sampling multiple watches world.

I've settled way down in recent years and have been focused on a smaller and purposeful collection. I had the opportunity to add the latest SubC Date 41 model 126610 and couldn't resist.

There have been some great reviews written on this watch, so I'll keep mine short. Overall, my favorite parts of the watch include the way the lugs and bracelet were designed for less of a chunky or blocky look, compared with the 11 series. I have smaller wrists at around 6.75" and this one seems to fit me better.

I went back and found a long thread I wrote in 2010 about my lengthy process to get my original SubC's bracelet to fit me and I found it extremely helpful with the new one, fitting the bracelet almost identically to my old one. I guess that old thread was kinda popular, with around 19k views, LOL.

I haven't had a ceramic bezel Rolex for about five years and love the way the light changes can make it look black, charcoal, light grey, and in between.

The new clasp is a bit more bulky, though on the wrist I don't notice it. The overall watch feels a tiny bit larger in a good way, with more graceful lines.

Overall, I'm really happy with this one! Forgive the slightly grainy photo - I need to do a better photo shoot soon.

Congrats. The new model is an improvement over the 11 series and a great daily over vintage.
