Next watch purchase

Currently, I have a 124060 and Tudor BB41 black dial. It is the perfect daily in my opinion. I have been thinking about the next watch I should get. I was hoping to get something a little bit different to celebrate completing my Ph.D. in a couple of years. I was thinking about either getting a Pepsi on jubilee or a 126613LB. Something colourful. I would be happy to hear people's opinions. I usually wear jeans and a t-shirt and am not a flashy person.

Both those options are flashy. Maybe a DJ41 with smooth bezel on a jubilee. I lean to wear my white dial DJ41 instead of the 116613LB when I’m not interested in garnishing tons of bluesy flash attention, but it still gives off a shiny sporty vibe.

I was thinking about the DJ41 mint dial. Saw it at the AD, the dial looks amazing. But for some reason I don't like the look of the lift-lock clasp.

The BLRO is a favorite of mine, but I wouldn’t say it’s low key, so it may not fit the “not flashy theme”. That said, I’m not a flashy person in the least and wear one so I guess I’m a walking contradiction

If you want something with a similar complication, with less pizzazz the explorer 2 would be a good option, if you want the GMT function.

Go for the one you like the most, you already have a Sub, next one can be GMT.

BLNR, BLRO or CHNR would be a great addition.

I saw the AK at the AD. Very nice watch. I am just trying to stay away from another black dial watch with an oyster bracelet.

Actually, amending earlier recs. Put name down for an OP (36 or 41) green dial. The clasp is subtler in all-matte finish.

That is a cool opinion. I hope they don't discontinue this model soon.

Out of the two that you mentioned, I would personally pick the 126613LB. However, I like that ref because it IS fairly flashy imo, especially with that beautiful sunburst blue dial! I would try to go for the Pepsi on Oyster bracelet for the least "flashiness".

Lots of great DJ models with so many choices of dials that would fit your "need". However, if you don't like the look of the clasp, maybe you can try going for a Super Jubilee bracelet with the hidden clasp?

I would personally NOT pick the Bluesey at all, I had it for a year & it is very flashy, not just the 2-tone gold but the blue dial combo which adds to that as well. It's a watch that looks great in photos but imo not great irl

I also had a Rollie although a DJ with jubilee bracelet, it does make the watch pretty flashy & with the red/blue combo. As the prev poster suggested, pepsi with oyster could be the best option

I think I am leaning towards the Pepsi on oyster. I think it would be a different option in my collection. As well I tend to wear a lot of blue which is good when matching it to different outfits.

In that case, may I also recommend one I should have led with earlier: Yacht-Master 40 in steel/platinum with the blue dial/red seconds hand. Seems to meet all of your criteria and probably significantly more gettable than a Pepsi or OP green.
